Hoping it will be more smooth now.

For one test, he wanted me to make a running track order of the songs we had, and compare it to what he would do...basically, the only tracks we had in the same spot in the order were the ballads. Yes, we have a lot of work to do.

My telepathy is a little off it seems. :(

Anyway, deciding on a track order is a matter of personal taste. I doubt there is a lot of chance that two people would come up with exactly the same track order. So I don't think that the result of the 'test' can be called uncommon.

At a certain point Pink Floyd even developed a sophisticated voting system, complete with electoral colleges and second preference votes, just to select which tracks should make it to an album.

I think we of the groper should choose the track listing....give us the song titles JB and we'll do the rest.

Jonny's bro might not like us doing that Tali, though I think it's a great idea. :D Thought I better come in for a farewell drink. I'm off to Finland for a few weeks, so cheers, and I'll see you all when I get back.

Cheers Penny, and have a safe trip! You will need to pack enough warm clothes, it's still not exactly summer in Europe. :(

At the last minute Bobbi and I have decided to go to the music festival in Belgium tomorrow. It is a long drive I noticed, over three hours, and that's counted without traffic jams. I hope we will make it past Antwerp alright, I've heard horror stories about the traffic there.

Hey S-Dip, do you know you could drive for three hours in my neck of the woods and possibly only see a few cars.......crazy, innit??

As mentioned, the songs aren't even completed yet, and some of them don't even have titles. When everything's done, I think my bro wants the band to vote on it, then have a few friends vote on it, then get a decision from whichever record label decides to sign us.

It's especially weird when you realise that Australia and Holland have almost the same amount of inhabitants, yet Holland is only 300 by 200 kms.

Oh, I'm going to have a lot to do there! A friend of mine already asked to say hi to Neil Schon, should I have the chance, and of course I will say hi to Marco too then, for you!

Oh, if you are in the area tomorrow, you should visit the Leidseplein. There's a streetartist who kind of levitates; he's in a Lotus seat and balances on one vertical stick placed underneath his knee. It looks impossible! I don't know if he's there every day, but if he is, he stays there for hours.

Hey, S-dip! Could you ask those guys if they know who Coastline are?

By the way, I'm on my way to Tom's Bar & Grill! The outdoor season has just started and the last time I saw snow falling from the sky was a week ago! I can still have my ol' Irish coffe! :P

Huh? Wouldn't I have more luck with Ian Haugland? He plays there too with his band! :D

Oh, this is so confusing! As far as I know he still plays in Europe; I saw them too last night, but I didn't pay too much attention to who was drumming I must say, because I was mesmerized by Joey Tempest's pants... :)

SnakeLady wrote:Thanks! ............. and did you meet him? How was the festival?

No, I didn't meet anybody. But the festival was great. It took us over four hours to get there, but it was well worth the drive. This must be the first festival I've been to where I liked every band so much. Usually there's always a band that you have to sit through, waiting for the next band. I thought Manfred Mann would be that band yesterday, but what they did on stage was amazing. Excellent musicians, great sound, their music was totally different than what I expected (I only knew their evergreens), very entertaining.

Saxon and The Scorpions both suffered from sound problems. It was too loud, and especially with Saxon that created an out of phase effect, while The Scorpions sounded just messy. Saxon did a greatest hits setlist, and The Scorpions played a lot of songs of their new album this time. They did put in too many ballads in their setlist though, at least for my taste. Still, I enjoyed seeing them again, just like Soul Sirkus. They were really great yesterday. As for Europe, pictures say more than words... I'll post some later on. ;)

Nice day? What's that? All it's done this month is rain. :(

But on the plus side, today has been one of the most productive days I've had in a long time.

First, I salvaged the working parts out of my old PC and added them to this PC. And I ended up making a nice discovery: This PC already had two hard drives! Apparently, whoever messed with the system before meant to set the backup as a slave drive, but had the jumpers set in the wrong place. So I switched it and instantly doubled the hard drive space on this system.

So I saved one hard drive, discovered a spare, and work was close to perfect without any problems from any customers. Despite the rain, it's been one hell of a day.
