Well, I am early this week!!! I have already found my AOTW. I have been tremendously enjoying Circle II Circle - Watching In Silence.
Um, sorry, but this is the Melodic Rock site??

Well... there are also very melodic ballads on that record! I'll pick something more sensitive next week! :P

Nope.... Not yet. Plus I think I already have it in the form of "Dedication - The Videos" that was released on video years ago. I will buy it eventually though...

Disappointing part of this "Greatest Hits" by Thin Lizzy dvd, there no studio or live clip for "Still In love with you" on it.

I have an Album of the Weak this time around, and that goes to Lana Lane "Lady Macbeth." I was hesitant when it was called a combination of Secrets of Astrology and Project Shangri-La. That would make it a few rockers and a lot of filler, or mediocre at best....I was right.

This group NEEDS to get out of the concept album theme, because Arjen Lucassen they are not.

Apparently they like to speak a fair bit of shit about Arjen too.

Shame... It's not on the video either.

So far I haven't been doing much listening to music, because I've been quite busy with work and analysis of a new piece of cr@pware on the market. I did manage to hear a few songs though. My nomination for this week Ice Age - The Great Divide. I've been listening to their follow-up Liberation as well, but I haven't heard the whole album yet. I have to live farther apart from the workplace, maybe the iPod can do a decent turn of a CD then...

Same here... I don't know, the truth might be somewhere down the middle... There are some songs with a 'Jornish' feel on the album, but who knows, Zierler might be just as capable of writing those songs. What disappoints me is that Jorn finds it necessary to lash out like that in an interview... Why not take it up with the record company if he indeed has written all those songs?

My AOTW is At Vance - Only Human. Sounds a little like the early Malmsteen albums, and Oliver Hartmann does some fine singing on it. He's got a dark, slightly hoarse voice... I like that!

My AOTW goes to the reissue of Laos "We Want It." No 80's rock collection is complete without it.

My AOW is a toss up between Presto Ballet-Peace Amongst the Ruins or Spiritual Beggers-Demons....both analogue recordings with big nods to the 70's...Can't decide which one i like more.

My AOTW hesitantly goes to Harem Scarem "Mood Swings." It's got some decent rockers, often hailed as the classic by HS fans...but I find it to be too experimental in places to call it a classic. I think four or five tracks could be placed on Weight of the World without anyone noticing.

This album has really gotten my attention. I really love the song "Lift U Up", and yes it is a very happy song. :D Others on this album that I like are "All We Are", "Dream On", "Anytime, Anywhere", and "Stay For The Night". 8)

Now that you mention it.... Didn't realize that. Think my mnd must have been elsewhere...

Since I do like that Hartmann, and it needs to be pushed I'll nominate him to be be AOTW.

Thanks for refreshing my mind...

Though my collection is packed, I still listen to my bro's collection during morning coffee.

My AOTW goes to Blue Tears "S/T."

If Def Leppard really wanted to write up a good covers album, they should just steal this album and call it their own. It would be better than rehashing 70's songs that have been redone a hundred times before.
