It was great to see the BvS trailer on a big screen before Age of Ultron.

Ant-Man trailer, too. It looks solid, but, as is the norm with Marvel, it gave way too much away.

Two very good, under-rated actors in that bunch........Adam Beach and Joel Kinnaman (really good as detective Holder in The Killing Netflix series).

I hope there's a swerve in BvS since I've been thinking how the JL is going to be formed. It would be pretty cool to find out that Harry Lennix's character, General Swanwick in Man of Steel turns out to actually be J'ONZZ J'ONZZ (Martian Manhunter) in disguise (J'ONZZ is a shape-shifter) and is the one that forms the Justice League. It was an old rumor in the early days with Man of Steel but the more and more I think about it, the more and more I'm thinking how awesome that would be. Lennix's character was heavily involved in Man of Steel and even Snyder brought him out to narrate the DKReturns "The one man who beat you" n SDCC when they announced Batman V Superman. Lennix is returning as Swanwick in BvS and may be in hiding this whole time as a General for the military.

Fanfic at this point, but this would be awesome (though it looks like they're going New52 JL):

^Martian Manhunter would be awesome but the JL will indeed be New 52 JL.

Still stoked they're filming Suicide Squad right now! That's three movies deep into the DCCU already. :)

FORBES: 'Batman V Superman' Teaser, 'Star Wars' Trailer Both Play Great In Theaters

First, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser. This was actually the second time I had seen the trailer in a theater, as I did in-fact attend that IMAX premiere event a couple weeks back. And it remains a strikingly different piece of marketing compared to the rest of the copious Batman and/or Superman trailers and teasers we have received over the last few decades. Almost every shot in the first Superman-centric half of the teaser is cryptic, meant to cause confusion and curiosity, to create a sense of awe in the very idea of Superman while taking stock in the understandable fears of a populace graced by his presence. I could care less about Superman fighting Batman, or fan-bait references to The Dark Knight Returns. But the idea of a Superman film that somewhat realistically deals with how the world would really react to a would-be Man of Steel in our midst, a film that played around with the religious implications beyond merely the Moses-like origin and having a scene where Superman stretches his arm out as if on the cross, is what makes me intrigued for this sequel.

It was striking how explicitly different this teaser was from a conventional Batman trailer. First of all, as I discussed earlier, the teaser basically plays like a conventional dark sequel tease with the caveat that the big-bad happens to be the Dark Knight. Instead of mostly laying out what we were going to get and establishing most of the new characters, it basically just established a rather puzzling and discomforting status quo and left it at that. It’s a teaser, for a film that doesn’t come out for nearly a year, and in that sense it was meant to entice and/or leave fans a little unsettled. Now of course the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer does the exact opposite. It operates not just on nostalgia but on a certain amount of reassurance. It uses the music we all love, familiar iconography (light sabers, star destroyers, storm troopers, etc.), the voice over from Mark Hamill, and that fan-bait cameo that always takes me out of the moment, to reassure fans that this is indeed Star Wars as you want Star Wars to be.

Tom Hardy Reveals Why He Dropped Out of SUICIDE SQUAD

Hardy was in talks to take on the role of Rick Flagg, the leader of the Suicide Squad, but he was subsequently forced to drop out over scheduling conflicts. Joel Kinnaman eventually took over the role, but when Steve recently spoke with Hardy at the press day for Mad Max: Fury Road, the actor discussed his fondness for the script and concept for Suicide Squad (Note: “alley” means “right up there with the best”): “Warner Bros. is my home studio and I love them so I was really bummed out. I wanted to work on that and I know the script is really fucking alley and I also know what’s gonna happen with The Joker and Harley Quinn in that; I won’t give away too much…it’s fucking alley. And that whole territory is something that I would certainly—I mean, everybody loves The Joker. Everybody loves The Joker. Will Smith is a dope guy, but everybody loves The Joker and that’s gonna, I think, be a very important film for fans.”

^Tom doesn't fuck around, so if he says the Suicide Squad script is good, that's because IT IS.
