Don'tcha mean Masterplan? But I share the sentiment.... Just quit.

My AOTW is Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. Just rebought the thing at an enormous discount, so now I have a 2 CD version with the missing "Silver Springs" instead of the original single album.

No, it's from Jorn solo. Apparently I haven't played it enough...

This week's AOTW goes to Pretty Maids "Future World." Originally on my 'on the brink of getting axed' list because I can't stand the heavier tracks with the gruff vocals. But I kept it because it's got a few great clean-vocal AOR tracks as well. As much as I'd like to persue more of their albums, I fear that they didn't experiment with AOR for too long.

Oh Jonny Jonny Jonny!!! Pretty Maids are one of the best bands that have been around for the past 20 odd years. Do yourself a favour mate and check out their other albums. Their Screamin' Live album is one of the best live albums of all time, and they have a heap of great AOR tracks spread out through their entire catalogue of about 18-19 albums. Stripped might be one you'll like. I'd be quite happy to do you up a sample of their songs if you like. :D

As i don't have any of his solo cds, this cd is very modern rock, ala Audioslave, sound.

On the same week I have an AotW, I'd also like to post an FotW (stands for Filler of the Week. This is an album that has a few awesome tracks, but a lot of crap songs as well.) I'm referring to Total Stranger "Obsession." When they make a good track, it's a great track! But when they write a filler song, it's so godawful, that not even bands who need fillers would ever touch them with a turd. Between the 2-disc set, there's not even a full album's worth of great tracks.

If they write up one more album (doubt it. It's been 3 years since that effort,) then maybe I'll have enough tracks to burn a mix cd.

My AOTW this week goes to an album I wouldn't expect: Lana Lane "Project Shangri-La." Originally, I didn't like this album much due to a lack of hard rockers, but this one's grown on me, big time.

Picked up HIM's Dark Light in Perth today. Listened to it on the way home. It's not bad. There are a few great tracks but also a couple of fillers. They'll probably grow on me though with a few more listens.

Tokyo Dragons' debut is my ATOW.
Unfortune I really dislike the new H.I.M, Penny. Due they getting alot of teenyboppers jumping on bandwagon.

They've always had a huge teenybopper following in Europe doggy. Ville Valo is a bit of a heart throb over there. It's about time the Aussie kids woke up. :D I really like their Razorblade Romance album, and this one seems to be heading back slightly in that direction. It's not as good and not as heavy, but I still like it. :D

My AOTW this week goes to Dare "Out of the Silence"

I'm in a bit of a rut. There's only about 20 cds in my collection that I listen to right now, and Dare is one of them.

Wow. I thought that album was horrible. Blood From Stone was about the only Dare I could ever get into.

Personally, I've been on a big Danger Danger kick this week, alternating between Four the Hard Way and Return of the Great Gildersleeves.

I thought all Dare albums after OoTS were bad.

Mine this week is Deep Purple - 'Rapture of the Deep'......I love the 'Morse era' of this band, to me they just get better and better.

Morse may be quite good in studio but live he doesnt cut it like Blackmore. For example "Smoke on the water" just doesnt feel right with Morse.
