I think the whole thing was a publicity stunt for the Leno thing. Whattacoincidence- the night before, the guy is a complete ass, then has to go on Leno and talk about it. I doubt that TS and Beyonce were in on it, but I think the guy knew what he was doing.

As far as "militant negro"- yeah, if it was "militant whiteboy" he'd be a "racist". Gimme a break with the double standards.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

what's "wrong" is that power and money corrupt people. It don't matter what colour you are, everyone that's 'given the world' apparently has the "Be a Super Douche Without Consequences Card".

Society is going to Hell. It ain't the race, it's the species.

Between this discussion and the thread on Serena Williams no one has brought up a similiar example of behavior from a white person. The recent behavior of Rep. Joe Wilson being disrespectful in the House hasn't been mentioned even in the politics thread, for example. In the discussion of Serena no one has mentioned the poster boy of such behavior John McEnroe.

Assholes and idiots come in all colors.
Society has been going to hell for a long time. Instead of evolving as a species to become more civilized... society seems to be reverting backwards. Each and every one of us have to take responsibility for our actions and choose to be a part of the solution and not contribute to the problem by supporting bad behavior or conducting in it ourselves. Everyone....regardless of what shade our skin color happens to be and regardless of how much money we have or not. .

too true. I work with the public in one of my 'jobs' and I'm AMAZED at how rude people are to me, my biz partners and each other. It's like people no longer care about anyone else but themselves. I hate it.

And that my friends is our sermon for today. Please help yourselves to juice, coffee, and cookies on your way out of the building.

I thought about this angle too, but I think it has no merit since MTV and NBC are owned by different corporations. If they were owned by the same corporation than I would say this was a total P.R. stunt (which it may still be but not for this reason).

Go deal the race card somewhere where else. Wilson was impolite, Serena assaulted somebody. Big difference there. John McEnroe's behavior hasn't been mentioned because it happened back when Steve Perry had his range 20+ years ago. And again, he never assaulted anybody. So go ahead, play your hand:

Uh, the shoe thing wasn't mentioned because nobody thought of it at the time of the post. Not sure how this got to be a Bush/Obama thing. Has nothing to do with it. Yeah, the guy that through the shoe was a complete ass. No kidding. The fact is the species as a whole (as far as manners, tact, and compassion) is devolving into 'every man for themselves'.

How did this get into a Republican/Democrat thing? Has nothing to do with anything.

Oh blow it out your crusty crack....

There's a big difference between verbally bitch slapping a 19-year old girl on national tv, because you're pissed off that a white country girl took an award in a ceremony literally controlled by R&B for 15 years....and political discourse.

Don't make this discussion into something it's not...a political argument...

I didn't see it mentioned. I didn't bring the Wilson guy up for political reasons anyway. I brought him up because it is another recent example of bad behavior. I don't care who does it, Democrat, Republican, Independent, black, white, asian, hispanic, etc......doesn't matter. Bad behavior is just that regardless of who's doing it.

I just have to say that I would never have thought this Kanye thing was racially charged if not for this board, I haven't read that theory anywhere else. Between this and the Serena thread, it's clear some of you guys try to play the race card FOR black celebrities and that's sad.

Think I need to take a break from this forum.

Some have argued that what he did was not racist in any way. I beg to differ. Simply, would he have done what he did to Swift if she had been black? I think not.

I understand where you are coming from but who's to know.

I know he has worked with many white artists and opened for U2 for a series of concerts in Europe a few years ago.
