Damn, Tim Urban's probably going to slip by to the bottom three considering the voter's taste  Must be Andrew or Katie to go then...or maybe Didi, but I like her so I hope not. Oh the suspense

:?

I never watch the results shows. Far too many commercials. I have to say this season I actually care even less about the eliminations than I usually do. IMO this season is a bust. Ellen is just not working for me, and the contestants...whoo, don't get me started. It's just a shame they can only eliminate ONE per week. There just haven't been any break-out or electrifying performances this season.

I thought this week was particularly disastrous. Soul & R&B week? Horrific.

I thought the ones in the bottom 3 were the right choices - the 2 survivors will be the next to go.

Not happy with the results :( I guess I'm the minority vote cause I sure don't agree with what majority of America apparently thinks on all these entertainment shows. And what's with the rap rubbish filling the show...two mind you, TWO lousy rap performances tonight!! Not happy at all :x Well, untill next week...

Have to agree with you. Whichever order they go, those 3 were the right choice. Although I'm not getting that Soiban or whatever her name is, either.

I thought Siobhan was kind of cool one week, not so much anymore.

OT - did ya catch the Flames game last night? Still a (faint) glimmer of hope there - Friday's game will be a nail-biter :)

So far tonight - Crystal and especially Casey - amazing. The rest - not terrible but pretty boring for me. Lee is still to come - he's been my favorite but Casey is making a move for the top spot

Oh yes, it is that time again isn't it? You are lucky you get to see the show earlier 8) Crystal is my favorite because every week so far she has delivered a worthy performance...I really want to hear her sing some Melissa Etheridge and a Springsteen song :) Lee does have a very relevant sound but, except for last week, his deliverance has been on the dull side

Next week Adam Lambert is back as mentor on Tues and performer on Wed. I think it is a ratings thing. Casey IS A MUSICIAN and can sing. He doesn't just strum like Kris Allen etc. The REAL musicians last year were Matt Girard and Scott MacIntyre. Check out their playing of Don't Stop Believin' on the AI tour on YouTube. They were not just playing chords. I still like Lee DeWyse & Crystal.

Crystal did great with Come together... and Casey did awesome too. Katie did good with let it be...
at least in my opinion. bottom should be The young kid that sang first, Andrew maybe... and probably katie.
and maybe sibion or whatever her name is also in the bottom 3... not too impressive last night...
but Tim actually did pretty good... hey the judges picked him as the alternate in the beginning so they
have no one to blame but themselfs for letting him get this far... ;-) LOL.

I thought the exact same thing when I first heard it. I was like "What the fuck does THIS guy have to offer these contestants???". I do have to admit though, that I agreed with everything he told them. I think his advice was much better than most of the musicians they get in the show. I really do think his advice was great.

I think at this stage, the final three should be: Casey, Mike, and Crystal. At first, I REALLY didn't like Casey, but he's improved and really grown on me. Vocally, I think Mike is the best singer in the contest. Overall package, I like Crystal. I didn't like her performance tonight (I thought her voice was very screechy), but overall I think she's the best all-around performer.

Oh yeah... I almost forgot about Tim tonight! His performance was the most improved for me so far. He sounded great, and I was really surprised by his performance tonight. If he keeps this up he could become a serious contender. :D

You can't listen to that performance and say he isn't a great singer! I agree with you for the most part about him. Normally he comes out and I INSTANTLY go  "Awww fuck... here's that young ass that can't sing!". If it weren't for his teenage female audience, he wouldn't even be in it at this stage. With that said though, he did sound great tonight.

Completely agree with that - and he had no problem being honest and telling them what they were doing wrong - most of the other mentors just sugar-coat all the 'advice'. I thought he did just fine, not a 'joke' at all. Oh - and for me it's Crystal or Casey for the win!

Well, I still wouldn't say 'great singer' but it was his best so far, and I'm sure you're absolutely right about his survival up-to-now due to teenage girls (but since I'm not a teenage girl, I like the real men  )

Crystal still rocks and is the winner! I think Andrew is going bye-bye tomorrow.

Agreed, and looking forward to his performance on tonight's show. Hope he does Whatya Want From Me. Wish he would just glam it down a tad though, he is a good looking guy but sometimes he goes overboard on the hair and makeup. My faves are Casey and Lee. I like Crystal, but not much into the folksy vibe and she did well last night but I thought parts of her vocals on that one were boarding on screechy/screamy IMO? Love the more rockish vocals of Casey and if Lee could just get some more confidence and just bust loose like he did a little last night he could just nail this whole thing.

Here’s what I don’t understand about these judges. If the contestant sang it the way the original singer does, they will definitely says, you cannot copy the original singer because there’s no originality, or it’s too karaoke blah blah blah. Then if they changed the arrangement, they will criticize the contestant and will say the arrangement was awful and boring.

Just like during the week of I think it’s the Top 40 Hits, Crystal sang Me and Bobby McGee with the way Janis Joplin sang it, she was praised by the judges that it can be a recording hit and they even compared her to Janis Joplin, then Casey James sang Power of Love and he was criticized by Simon with no originality and old fashioned. I think Casey did and excellent job performing a soulful rendition on that song and sounded even better than Huey Lewis, IMO.

These judges are losing credibility the way they judged these kids and from what I observed the contestants are confused. I don’t care if they sing the way the original artist as long they give it justice to the song and the way they performed it well.

For me, Casey James is the best out there, with a complete package, his looks his voice, an excellent guitarist showing his guitar skills while singing which I think an edge to other contestants. Just my 2 cents. 8)

I think the ones that will have some type of career are Crystal, Casey James, Lee Dewyse and Tim Urban . He can really play like Casey and I noticed some of that from Mike so good luck to him. I never really care who wins. Get away from AI and it is who will write for you and will you have any backers after the AI tour ends.
