Really Ken? Cool thanks for that insight bro! Cause I guess you know so much about the situation right?

How about sticking to commenting on things you may actually have some knowledge of? LOL.

I am commenting on things I know about because you just enlightened us in this very thread:

Sorry, it took me a week or so to send out your stupid checks....

you were mad 5 years ago that you didn't get your checks sent in a timely manner (when I handled the accounting for the band and worked 60 hours a week full time)

And yeah, I avoided you at every turn cause you are the neediest bastard I've ever seen

Him being a needy bastard or you working 60 hours a week is no excuse not to pay someone on time. If someone did the work, they get paid on time. PERIOD. If you're going to engage in a catfight on a public forum, then anybody has the right to comment. I did just that based on the info YOU provided.

Hey Ken....You don't know anything about the situation. It wasn't "my band." We all got paid equally, I just happened to handle all the business, accounting, and bear all the liability on my own. All 6 band members typically took at least 3 vehicles on these trips of 5-600 miles, all paying gas and hotels out of their pockets, and collecting receipts and getting accurate info about that was a herculean task at best. Getting that done by a Tuesday after work was rare, but by Wednesday I would have normally gotten everyone's receipts from them and made sure expenses cleared the bank. Ever have to wait a few days for a debit card hold to drop off your bank account from a hotel? So maybe by Thursday then Jim's check would be put in the mail, and he lived 3 states away from us. So by the following Monday at the earliest Jim would normally get his check. So there's a little lesson for you about how that worked. Ever think maybe Jim may have been exaggerating a weeee bit about waiting WEEKS for his check? I do know one instance where the check was mailed AND NEVER ARRIVED. But we all know that never happens right, so I MUST be lying. Oh, and Jim couldn't be exaggerating about anything either, right?

So tell me Ken, where do you work at where you finish your job at the end of the day and get paid? You hang out at Home Depot parking lots or something? Why Jim and you feel compelled to do an audit of Frontiers' payout process from five years ago on this public forum I have NO idea but I guess it makes for interesting reading, right?

Do yourself a favor dude...I know NOTHING about you. Please don't act like you know anything about me or this situation.

Oh and BTW Ken, my comment about Jim calling 4-5 times a day, every day of the week, calling me at work, calling my wife, leaving rude voice mails....That was NOTHING to do with getting paid. That was just the normal daily procedure. In fact, it was kind of a running joke in the band when Jim would glom on to someone else in the band for a while and call them incessantly all day long. Then I'd get a call from someone else in the band saying "Dammit, how did Jim get my number, LOL!" Anyway...I have no problem with anyone commenting on the thread here, but to take some position of moral judgement based on one side or another's posts in this stupid forum is pretty silly if you ask me.

God forbid...I think it may be check out time real soon. What began as Jim insisting I was lying about our start time has apparently now turned into a wholesale forensic accounting exercise.

LOL. It has seemed to morph a few times into something else from Jim: start times, lip-syncing, payment, your friends talking about you behind your back on the road. I might have missed something.

Uhm, you're lying again Jeremey. You were paid as a 1/6th member like the rest of us. You were ALSO paid an additional 15% off the top to handle the marketing and business end of the band. And no, I'm not exaggerating. One gig was nearly a month apart, and you ended up paying me at the next gig. These gigs paid anywhere from $150-$348 or $368 for my last gig. Not like it was chump change.

And you're exaggerating seriously about the phone calls. Part of my calls were to you and Chad to figure out what the hell I should be doing patch-wise in the songs. Since you bailed on the one and only rehearsal (that I drove 5 hours for), I was left to manage and figure everything out on my own. Glad to know you were bad-mouthing me when I was helping the band out of a tough situation though. This all the while, when I was defending your name on this website. You're a great person Jeremey.

I get paid every 2 weeks and that was clearly explained to me when I got this job. In the 12 years I've worked here, they have never been late. What a concept! Don't say you don't have a problem with people's comments because you clearly do. If you're going to throw out all of the accounting details and other inner workings of your band on this forum, then don't get your gray matter (that's your underwear, not your brain) in a twist when other people comment on it. Keep it off of the forum if you can't handle people's comments.

Sounds like it's a good thing you don't handle the accounting anymore. If you have to wait for a hold to release in order to pay everyone, sounds like you were running things too tight. Other people shouldn't have to sit around and wait for a paycheck if you don't have enough to cover payroll.

Jim...You are a liar. We had an AGENT you dumb ass who got paid 15%.

Don't get all moral and uppity with me you jughead piece of shit.

Now that Jim has once again managed to steer this into a public study of Frontiers' business practices, I tnk we're pretty much done here.

But I won't forget your little threats Jim. Over your stupid disagreement with me from 5 years ago. No, buddy, you showed your true colors this weekend.

Now go fuck a sheep.

I've met Jeremey (and Stephen as well) several times... I can vouch for them.

I can also vouch for Jim. I haven't met him in person yet, but I've talked to him on the phone several times, played some Xbox with him, and talked a LOT of music with him. In short, I know him even though I haven't met him face to face.

This is just bad business blood being aired where it shouldn't be - publicly. The best thing for all parties involved would be simply to stop interacting.

You "received confirmation" eh? Bullshit. We tried saving 10% to cover expenses for a bit but everyone bitched that they weren't making enough money so we stopped and I went back to fronting all the money out of my own pocket again.

Now I'm done with this conversation. I'm not done with YOU, Jim, not by a long shot. But when people start thinking I'M the one that got started in airing all this business stuff it's time for me to check out.

I'm wondering why he's calling you out for twisting things around, when he's able to do it himself:

I just happened to handle all the business, accounting, and bear all the liability on my own...

Yeah I did, from Frontier's guitarist of 5 years. He confirmed what I already knew. I just had the dollar amount wrong. And you DID manage the band's financing. Who wrote my checks? Funny how when you get called on things, then you want to stop this.

So after telling him he doesn't know WTF he's talking about, you appreciate his comments? And again... you're wrong about the money. You were taking %10 off the top to run things. We ALSO paid a booking agent off the top. Sorry, I was off by %5, but just received confirmation that I was correct.

I'm wondering why he's calling you out for twisting things around, when he's able to do it himself:

I just happened to handle all the business, accounting, and bear all the liability on my own...

Once again, Ken, I wasn't "covering payroll" and I didn't run the business. We were a part time band and that's just the way it was.

Make up your mind, dude.

Hey tiresome prick, let me say it again:

It was a part time band. I did all those things BY DEFAULT cause no one else was willing or able to. It doesn't mean I owned the business or owed anything to any other person in the band.

Get it? "part time band." Not "Fortune 500 company" or even "full time touring band." Anything I handled was BY DEFAULT, not because I hired these guys and offered to pay them and handle all that shit. Geez, I guess you want in on this too, huh?

:)

Uh, no Jim. I'm more than willing to debate your dumb ass that I did or didn't critisize JRNY for using backing tracks. But it's clear now u got a different agenda with this guy who has dragged me thru the mud for 4 years, ruined relationships I've had and done his best to destroy my business, all through lies.

So no, I won't play the Barry Young game again with you here online.

Bye asshole.

The band was paid as independent contractors. You owned X-factor media group, and you wrote the checks FROM X-factor media group. You were paid and compensated for running the business end of it.

Too bad, Jim, not gonna bite. You keep getting your backdoor misinformation, lies, and mudslinging ammo from that sick little head, but like I said, I won't get involved in this Jim/Barry mental sickness that you guys have. You can pretty much say ANYTHING YOU WANT here...it must be true, right? It's the INTERNET!

I don't want to step out of character here but I want to tell everyone here that's been following this that I'll admit it's been entertaining, but it's clear now I'm dealing with a couple of people that have a real sickness. Jim can say whatever he wants to here now, just know that there's some of us out here who live this, and it goes beyond an Internet message board about Journey, and there's some of us that know the real truth behind this greaseball bullshit, and we ain't gonna get involved in it no more.

Jesus 4 fucking years is long enough....

Yeah, there's one more thing I'd like to add. I'm a tiresome prick to you because I called you out on your double-talk. You recently mentioned on here that your band now grosses over half a million dollars a year. That's awesome & congrats. But hopefully now with all of that bank, payroll is able to be made.
