I had a serious temptation to place Eden's Lie as my AOTW for a third week in a row. It would make sense since the cd release party is in two days.

However, it's not the case. I've chosen Ambeon "Fate of A Dreamer," for my AOTW, now that I've finally figured out how to make the damn disc work in my cd carousel (yes, it's very quirky.) Overall, my #2 all-time favorite female-fronted album, behind Within Temptation "The Silent Force."

Sphere of Souls-From the Ashes....the dutch may not be much chop in the soccer dept. but they produce some pretty decent prog bands.
This is the (ex)singer from Sun Caged new band...has Joost whatshisface on keys too.

It's a good thing that I absotively don't give a rat's @ss about football, so I am not offended by you...

As for aotw I think I'll have to go with The Corrs "Borrowed Heaven" because that is just about the only thing I played this week. Oh... And also the first one by King's X...

Wetton/Downes - 'Icon'......some of the best and sweetest melodies I have heard in an age.

I'd say there's nothing wrong with your country's soccer coach, Tali. 8)

It was more of a veiled compliment on your country's music scene.

My AOTW goes to H.I.M. "Dark Light." Not sure why. The music doesn't really offer alot to the ears, but I've been in a simple melodies/commercial goth mood, so that is why I have chosen this one. Strangely, the singer sounds very similar to Gary Hughes.

Nope. Actually, don't have any at all.

Why? Do you know of a woman who's lonely?

I had two metal operas on the table, but which one to pick...

The first is Aina "Days of Rising Doom." There's a lot of story crammed into 2 discs...I'm wondering if maybe they needed 3?

The other is Ayreon "Into the Electric Castle." Musically it's fantastic, but I'm pissed that 3 of my 4 favorite singers are killed off in the storyline. (not to mention that Sharon den Adel didn't have much of a role.) I'm only thankful Arjen Lucassen didn't kill off his own character. (yes strangely, I do like his vocals.)

The winner? Neither. I still need to listen to them more.

Nor will I default to my previous AOTW. Like all commercial albums, they get played alot and then are shelved for a long time.

I'm at a loss for an AOTW. I've been working too much.

There may be a lot of story....but only enough good music for about a 30 minute ep.

As for the Ayreon cd....its awesome...my second fave after T.H.E.

Have you got the Star One Live on Earth dvd yet JB? They do quite a few songs off Electric Castle on it.......+ an awesome guitar vs keytar duel between Arjen and Joost where Joost totally owns Arjen in the middle of 'Amazing Flight in Space'.

I don't think many copies of Star One made it here to the states. I've seen it only twice, both times I opted for Ayreon purchases.

I've only met a couple who liked it in the shit-chute.....but then with a thick cock like mine, that's understandable.

I don't really get it myself......though I did stick a hairbrush up my ass once when I was jerking off, but I was young and stupid   ......and it WAS the handle end.

Anyway. This week I've been listening to Rush - 'Presto'

I don't have an AOTW this week. I had a really rough band practice last sunday that ended with an argument over cover songs, and since then I've had no interest in listening to music.

I'll choose Ayreon "Fate of A Dreamer" as a default choice for now.
