Baking pies Wednesday night. Apple & something else. I hate pumpkin with a passion, but I'll probably bake one anyway. I do scratch. Only way to go.
Gee, I am lazy on that, too. We have a great pie place on the northside here in Houston. It is a little whole in the wall place, but DAMN the pies are good... This week, the police will be directing traffic in front of it. Interestingly, that is not where I am getting my pies. The school nutrition association of my district sells pies every year to help pay for the free glasses some of the students get. So, I always buy some and freeze a couple for Christmas. This year, they have a new flavor... Caramel Apple. Can't wait to try it.
Gotta go find a snack now....
