Bengals are playing it smart in making sure Steelers don't have any time to work with should they take the lead on this drive... this is exciting as hell.

Steelers deserve to lose this. Limas dropping a wide open touchdown (2nd of his yet, lousy 2 year career), mis-communication for 6, Reed missing another field goal, and a soft defense on the closing drive who can't stop a 4th and 10. Congrats Bungle fans, you'll always be the Bungles. Enjoy your Superbowl.

Don't mind me. I'm just passing through Bengal--Steeler territory to do a happy dance Image and to make a toast to celebrate my former winless team: Detroit Lions. Image

You may now return to your regularly scheduled Bengal--Steeler rant.

I wouldn't say should, but we are a coin toss away from being 0-3! The Bengals should be 3-0 leading the North with Baltimore if it wasn't for that fluke miracle in Week 1. That chalks up 2 4th Quarter blown leads by Pittsburgh's defense in as many weeks. The offense just can't capitalize on the opportunities that are presented, completely shooting themselves in both feet. Unfortunately, bad teams find ways to lose, and that's what the Steelers have done the last 2 games.

They just don't seem to have enough gas on offense... and I never thought they did last year, but they just had the magic it seemed.

Speaking of the fluke loss, Denver has to be the absolute worst 3 and 0 team right now. Kyle Orton? Are you fuckin kidding me. But then again, when two of the three are the Browns and the Raiders, it all makes sense

No chance in hell. Browns may very well be worse than the Lions of last year. Awful. And now we have another "QB controversy" on our hands (not really).

Dude that's a helluva statement to make after a win like this. No way in HELL Cinci loses to the Browns. The Clowns are playing blind right now and shouldn't even be called worthy team, if that's what you want to call them. The Browns need to focus on going North of the field and not South before they even DREAM about beating anybody.

Fact finder- Have you recovered yet? The Bungles became the Bengals in the 2nd Qt. Wow,Carson is GOOD when he has protection. I do not know if the stadium was 40-60 but the players showed respect for each other. The Bill Cowher days seem to be over !

Not after watching this team for 30 odd years it ain't.

As good as that last few minutes was today, next week could look like todays first half where the Bengals just didn't show up. When they give me some consistency I'll be happy.

Every week is like that for the Browns on offense.. but for all four quarters.

If you think like that, then you have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go. I would bask in this win for sure, but don't set yourself up for a letdown, which is the approach you seem to be taking.

Interesting week of games. I definitely didn't think Pittsburgh was a dominant team (definitely not offensively, because they have one of the worse running games in the entire NFL). That said, I didn't think that after 3 weeks, the Bengals would be 2-1 and the Steelers would be 1-2! Tennessee sucking doesn't surprise me a bit. I called them a fraud all of last season (even when nobody could beat them, and much to the dismay of our big Titans fan on this board), and they proved me correct in the playoffs. I'm really not surprised that they're 0-3. They have a horrendous offense, a horrendous secondary and probably just one above average player on their entire team. While the Jets beating up on a woeful Titans team today didn't impress me, I am VERY impressed with their defense and believe that they have a VERY good team. The Texans should be better than their record, but can't seem to figure out how to win. The Chargers suck, in spite of beating an AWFUL Miami team. Hopefully, Tomlinson won't be "flowing heavy" next weekend and get his pussy ass back on the field! New Orleans will be a force to be reckoned with all season long, even though I'm still not sold on their defense when the playoffs roll around. The Ravens are SCARY good and are the class of their division, and probably the entire AFC right now. The Rams and Browns are going to battle it out all season long for the number one pick in the draft, because they are both DREADFUL teams. The Browns will NEVER win with Eric Mangini as their head coach, as the guy is a complete ass of a coach! It's nice to see that scumbag Terrell Owens not catch a pass today for the first time in a zillion years. I'm sure he'll be all over the Buffalo media this week killing his QB and his team. As a Patriots fan, I'm just glad they beat a solid Atlanta team this week, because the Ravens are in town next week, and I'm already putting it in the "L" column! At least even after that loss, they'll only suck as bad as Shitsburgh does

Cincinnati has been my favorite team since I was 10 and had a genuine Ken Andreson jersey. And I'll tell you what, they have a pretty darn good defense and the offense is coming around. I could easily see them being 9-7 or 10-6 this year. The good news is they have Cleveland twice, but the bad news is they play Pittsburgh again and Baltimore twice. If they can manage to win 3 of those 5 games they have a shot at 10-6.

Sorry dude. I LOVE the Ravens. Their defense has always been STOUT, and now they actually have an offense to match. This is a SCARY team that it going to be tough to beat. I watch a lot of NFL football, and they're the best team I've seen in the AFC thusfar, and I believe that they'll win their division easily, at this point.

Sure seems that way and I was giving him more of a chance than the others. The players have already quit on him. He is a buffoon. Enforcing rules (many of them arbitrary and/or ridiculous/offensive) and being a hardass does not make you a great coach. Gotta have fire about the right things.

3 games doesn't define a football season. I believe football is made during the latter half of the season and teams make their bid towards a playoff push during the last 6 or 7 games of the year. Teams are still gathering their feet in Week 3 and could still right a ship that looks to be sinking. Every week ultimately counts, but the NFL works in interesting ways and works on a week to week basis.

I pretty much agree on some points. I feel the Chargers aren't as nearly as good as their record, and Tennessee is losing tough battles week in and week out. Pittsburgh has a lot of things to work on, including finishing football games. They start the game looking to route, then somewhere along the way, stall to let a team back in it, esp in the 4th quarter. Denver is the worst 3-0 team in all of football and the Jets are finding early success with a defense that brings heat from every angle.

The Ravens I'm not completely sold on. Yes, they look like the best all around team in the AFC, but they were taken to the wire in Week 1 against a terrible Kansas City team, won on a last second 4th down stop last week against a decent at best Chargers team, and beat up on a Pee Wee football team in the Browns today, but you can't deny their style of football. New England is missing a lot of charisma at this point and Tom Brady isn't near the player he use to be before the knee injury. Unfortunately for them, they go as far as Brady goes and he seems to of lost confidence in his all around game. New Orleans, from top to bottom, is the best team in football, but a Super Bowl will not be won in week 3. Teams have emerged from slow starts before, as well as teams that started off fast plummeted to mediocrity in middle season. It's early yet, but teams won't separate until the last halves of the season and we have a long, long way to go before we can make such statements of contenders, and pretenders.

My modest prediction: Broncos are this year's 2008 Bills. I'll be SHOCKED if they finish above .500. They are simply not good.

I have loved football since the days of Unitas and Nameth. The Bengals look good at this point. Their loss was with 11 seconds left on a jump ball. Their other win was with Chad Johnson Ocho kicking the extra point and he buried them on the kickoff back at the 20,I think. Please, let me live in my dreamland after YEARS of this ownership and appreciate this young team. You know what luck can happen.

I don't now if my mind's foggy about this, but didn't Johnson's Point after and kickoff come in the preseason?

I was worried about Sanchez playing in the rain but he did okay (not much of that here in SoCal). The pro- offense Pete Carrol Runs at USC seems to have really prepared Mark for the pros.

I always liked Sanchez and he was my favorite Quarterback coming out of the draft. I always loved his mechanics and his ability to step in and deliver. He is a great leader also and that is a must have playing the Quarterback position in many more ways than one.

Loved his grit lowering his shoulders on the goaline, but he might want to re-think that strategy. He won't win that battle all the time and such actions can result in major injury. As far as NFL football ready, him coming out his SR year and only playing such a limited time as a starter at USC is no means a man that should of been ready to play at such a level. So far, his ablility and talent alone prove that he has the tools to get the job done in the NFL if used properly, and the Jets seem to be a perfect fit for him.
