I should have said signed documents that would relate to a martial law scenario. To clarify in May he signed an executive order pertaining to National Defense Resources in which it would give the POTUS complete control of the general distribution of ANY MATERIAL (including applicable services) in the civilian market. This would include such things as food, livestock, water, plants, energy, health resources, transportation and construction materials. The control could be declared for multiple reasons. Such as natural disasters, declared war or if the safety and security of the nation is in question for any reason.

Well, looking back over the past several months now, I recall seeing more "Feel the Bern" bumper stickers and "Hillary for Prison 2016" on the same cars, compared to how many bumper stickers were pro-Hillary. Yeah, how's that Bern feeling now? Hahahaha. BTW - months ago I read some place where PETA showed up at one of Sander's rallies to protest him. They got the wrong Sander's. They're thinking of Colonel Sander's and they don't even know he's been dead for decades now.

“After Bernie Sanders made his statement several people started leaving,” Warren said. “Some people visibly upset as they were leaving today.”

The campaign rally was held in New Hampshire, where Sanders pummeled Clinton in the state’s primary earlier this year. Sanders received 60.4 percent of the vote and 15 delegates while Clinton received 38 percent and only nine delegates.

I could be wrong, probably am, but it seems like it is a lot harder for Bernie supporters to reconcile supporting Hilary based on policy positions than it would be for any of the 16 Republican supporters to reconcile supporting Trump.

But then, George HW Bush called Reagan's proposals "voodoo economics" and ended up being his VP. So, who knows?

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has crossed way, way over the line

I cannot see any possible defense of what Ginsburg did, given that she violated Canon 5 of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges. Supreme Court Justices are not strictly bound by that code, but they nonetheless act as exemplars for the rest of the judiciary, and this canon seems pretty important. She should repair the damage and apologize for her remarks as soon as possible.

So it looks like Trump is back peddling on his temporary halting of Muslim immigrants. Now he is calling for extreme vetting? WTF. He darn well knows what the director of the FBI has said at least with regards to the Syrian refugees. That we have ZERO background data to "vet" them. This is getting pathetic. Trump is the only one to keep her from winning. Either vote for him, or get her. Trump back peddled, she out and out lied, and the liberal system made a joke out of our justice system to pretect her. Trump wanted a tempoary ban on Muslims from hostile countries until we could sort out bad from good. You can't stop Muslims from coming. You are embelishing on what Trump said. Truthfully, Trump is too middle of the road for me. again, I was not a Trump person, but he's what the people voted and left for me to chose. Trump was #5 on my list. How many times has Clinton flip flopped so far? What it comes down to for me is, I'd rather have Trump picking Judges then Clinton.

Hillary is being protected by Obama because Obama gave the stand down order in Benghazi, in my opinion. Obama didn't want to piss off the Muslim world that was at the time overthrowing the Government in Eygpt. That part has leaked out. Of course, as usual, Obama backed the wrong team. But who could want Clinton for a leader after her work in Syria, Lybia, and Russia making a complete fool of her? She couldn't even handle her email. So, vote for Trump, or vote for Clinton, or vote for someone else, which will be a vote for Clinton,or stay home and pout like the Bush family, which is also a vote for Clinton, is how I see it.

Agreed. You never get everything you want, even in the person you want. Millions of the people who support Hilary now, don't want her for a variety of reasons - Benghazi, email, supporting Bill's indiscretions, whatever... They would rather have Bernie, Biden, Al Sharpton, Jerry Brown, whoever. But according to the system we have in place, Hilary is their choice. They see him as better than Trump, so she gets their vote.

Same with Trump. Not my or a lot of people's choice by any stretch of the imagination, but a better alternative than Hilary.

Boomchild, I think Trump is just stepping into major campaign mode and maybe modifying his tone to the broader electorate. No matter what he says the media is gonna nit pik the hell out of it.

So is this to say that he really hasn't changed his stance on a temporary halt to Muslim immigrants? It doesn't seem to me that the media has miss quoted him on the change in his position. This is an important change in policy. It's also major issue when it comes to terrorism in the U.S.. This isn't just a small change that people can just shrug off and say your not going to get everything you want in a candidate. With a major change like this I wonder what is going to come next. Will it be the wall along the border becoming a fence or nothing at all?
Who knows. But I was not expecting him to cave on such a major key issue to this nation's security. Someone please explain how a Trump administration or any other for that matter is going to magically make the background data appear in order for a vetting process to actually work. You can't. In the end I think that it does not matter and further discussion is futile. IMHO, the people are no longer actually electing anyone to the POTUS.

Let's see what he says Thursday night. Extreme vetting seems stricter than what we've got. Obama stopped Iraqi immigrants for 6 months when a fatal flaw was found. Under existing law the President can halt immigration for anyone deemed subversive.

Again, I will point out that in order to vet them you need to have background data. Last year the director of the FBI had said in regards to the refugees from Syria that the government has ZERO background data in order to vet them. Which means this suggestion of vetting is bogus. Furthermore, other government officials have pointed out that we are getting ZERO assistance from our allies that could possibly help with proper vetting. Also, they have said there is rampant fraud in the documents that said immigrants are presenting, that documentation is sloppy at best and in some cases officials involved in reviewing the document have difficulty being able to read them in order to determine their authenticity. To me Trump's original solution was the correct one. Which is to halt all immigration from suspected areas of threat to the country. Only lifting it after we are assured that we can determine who is a threat and who is not. Now he is willing to take the same position that B.O. is. Which is to make people think that we currently have the capability to vet these immigrants. If Trump really believed what he said at first, he would have backed it up and explained that entry into this country is privilege and not a human right. His flip flop flies in the face of his position of putting America first. Period.

Not unlike "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor". I'll keep more faith in Trump then the lying machine the Democrats have produced, which Hillary was a huge part of. None of this mattered until Trump b rought up illegal immigrents in the first place, which was predicted the end for him. That is when his numbers exceled. Which ever way you go, Trump is the lesser of two evils. Myself, I'd rather be voting for Cruz, a proven Conservative record, Fiorina, or Rubio, then Trump. Voters saw different.

I hear what you are saying. The question is if Trump changes his tone on other major issues is that going to effect your choice? He already has changed one that defies his "America first" principle. Frankly speaking, I think that no matter who wins the election they will not be able to effect the downfall of this nation that is coming. It's too late in the game. The only people whom have had the guts to stand up and do something are the ones screwing things up in this country. For example the BLM supporters that are acting out in a deadly fashion.

Speaking of Soros, I believe he sits on the board of directors of the parent company that handles compiling and authenticating the votes for federal elections. If that still is the case that should tell you something.

Did Trump fire Melania's speech writer yet? I'm seeing the White House is saying that lil berry didn't actually plagerize Duvall Patricks speech in 08, they say he was just "inspired" by it. Maybe Melania was "inspired" by Mooch's speech as well. Anyways, what fricken difference at this point does it make? It's just words.

This is the kind of thing that "professional" political teams get right. Even a whiff of someone else's words don't get uttered without attribution so that the words are the story, not the hint of plagiarism. It doesn't mean anything in this case, but is a distraction that Trump doesn't need. I would imagine that the speech writer isn't doing it for anyone in Trump's campaign anymore.
