The people who care about such things have already been swayed. Too bad for Trump.

Come on now, that's a terrible plan. That money should be given to the illegal immigrants here and a portion should go to Mexico so they can continue to print those guides to crossing the border into the U.S..

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department has agreed to turn over all the detailed planning schedules from Hillary Clinton's time as secretary of state to The Associated Press by mid-October. It is an abrupt reversal from U.S. government lawyers' warning last week that hundreds of pages would not be released until after the presidential election.
The minute-by-minute schedules offer a detailed look at Clinton's daily routine during her four-year tenure as secretary of state between 2009 and 2013.
The department has so far released about half of her more complete daily schedules. The new agreement announced Thursday was drawn up after government lawyers told the AP last week that the department expected to release the last of the detailed daily schedules around Dec. 30, weeks after the election. The AP objected to that.

I'm a regular citizen and I know enough never to use GMail. Shouldn't the Secretary of State be smarter than me?
FBI: Hillary Clinton Lost Cell Phones with Classified Emails
“[Huma] Abedin and [former Clinton aide Monica] Hanley indicated the whereabouts of Clinton’s [mobile] devices would frequently become unknown once she transitioned to a new device,” one report indicates.
On other occasions, a staffer would destroy Clinton’s old mobile phones “by breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer,” the FBI documents reveal.
The fact that Clinton’s staff attempted to destroy her old smartphones whenever they could indicates that they knew there was sensitive information on the devices.

"FDR takes United States off gold standard
On June 5, 1933, the United States went off the gold standard, a monetary system in which currency is backed by gold, when Congress enacted a joint resolution nullifying the right of creditors to demand payment in gold. The United States had been on a gold standard since 1879, except for an embargo on gold exports during World War I, but bank failures during the Great Depression of the 1930s frightened the public into hoarding gold, making the policy untenable.
Soon after taking office in March 1933, Roosevelt declared a nationwide bank moratorium in order to prevent a run on the banks by consumers lacking confidence in the economy. He also forbade banks to pay out gold or to export it. According to Keynesian economic theory, one of the best ways to fight off an economic downturn is to inflate the money supply. And increasing the amount of gold held by the Federal Reserve would in turn increase its power to inflate the money supply. Facing similar pressures, Britain had dropped the gold standard in 1931, and Roosevelt had taken note."
Liberal Progressives go back to President Wilson. The Federal Reserve was their dream. Wilson was President in 1913 when it started.
President Nixon: The Man Who Sold the World Fiat Money
Of course, the world used to be on a type of gold standard known as the Bretton Woods Agreement. Tracing the history of this gold standard and its demise ultimately led me to one man — US President Richard Milhous Nixon — the man who untethered the chord linking currencies to gold; the man who sold the world fiat money.
On 15 August 1971, President Nixon announced to the world that the United States was closing the gold window in a move known as the Nixon Shock

The Nixon Shock
t was 40 years ago—Aug. 15, 1971—that the White House unveiled a drastic reordering of the global financial system. Using interviews with such key players as Paul Volcker and George Shultz, Roger Lowenstein reconstructs how Nixon stopped backing the dollar with gold and changed finance forever

K.C.Journey Fan wrote:So Wilson approved the Federal Reserve Note, Roosavelt took us off the gold standard, but Nixon also did it in 1971?
On 15 August 1971, the United States unilaterally terminated convertibility of the US dollar to gold, effectively bringing the Bretton Woods system to an end and rendering the dollar a fiat currency.[2] This action, referred to as the Nixon shock, created the situation in which the US dollar became a reserve currency used by many states. At the same time, many fixed currencies (such as the pound sterling, for example) also became free-floating.
Boomchild, I missed something somewhere. I always thought Nixon was the one that opened Social Security to the wolves, but found out it was Carter, but that is a different subject.
K.C.Journey Fan wrote:All the more reason for Trump. All the people involved hate him. Hillary wants to continue with the same system. I'm not arguing with you, I'm trying to understand. Nixon certainly is not one of my popular President choices. There seems to be a piece missing between Roosavelt and Nixon.
