And that's exactly why you are a punk assed kid with his fly open. Polling is very accurate, when done correctly. Look up the word methodology. Rasmussen obviously doesn't, hence his polls show the republicans winning last election. lol. What a dickless sack of crap he his. He doesn't care. He pulls at the heartstrings of conservatives, getting their hopes up, when there is zero chance of them winning squat. All of this and of course Fox news subsidizes his polling. REAL polling is damned accurate and has methodology based construction. The are never wrong.

That's all you had to say, what I've emboldened. I stopped subscribing to the polling information because I don't think that it was completed accurately during the election season.

Now I know why you aren't over in the Only happens in America thread. I was sure you would have shown up over there by now to weigh in with some choice words.

Why? This board is filled with 98% neo cons. I have NO use for them or their back asswards ideas and thoughts. All I know, and that is not a lot, is America is a better place now and spoke loudly last November.

I've got two things to say and then I'm probably going to disappear for another few months...

1 - The last 4 years of the Bush presidency, in my opinion, were awful and started this economic train a rollin' down the tracks in the completely wrong direction.

2 - In the last 7+ months of the Obama presidency, he's not only not turned the train around but instead has us going faster than ever, still in the wrong direction.

Dave. I don't know what's going on with you personally, but I have missed seeing you post in here. You always add a lot to this board.

As far as Bush goes, I agree about the last four years. He made some stupid decisions. I do believe that he's a good person though. We all make mistakes, and I'm sure that he learned several while in office. As far as Obama goes, I couldn't agree more. He keeps referring to "bringing down the deficit, yet he's hurting our deficit more in a few months, than Bush did in his entire two terms.

Absolutely did not show McCain winning. Rasmussen had it at 51% - 49% Obama, while most of the other pollsters had Obama in the mid-to-upper 50's. Rasmussen also correctly predicted the 2004 election.

By the way: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_ ... ethodology Rasmussen has sound methodology, and as a marketing research data analyst I gotta say you sounded about as knowledgeable as you do when you Parrot Jim Rome about hockey.

You mean like Jefferson, who boned his slaves, while cutting all references to Jesus out of his personal secular bible?
Or do you mean like Thomas Paine, the self-described atheist who advocated communal ownership of land and tax payer funded schools and old age pensions?

The truth is, the Founders' ideals were diverse.
Anyone who thinks they were card carrying members of the RNC is an ahistorical dumbass.

Actually, I think it was the references to miracles that he cut out of his Bible, unless he carved it up more than I remember reading about.

Honestly, do you really think the founding fathers would be all that thrilled about either of the current major parties? No chance.

I sit here after reading this page, and I'm utterly speechless. I've tried to overlook some of TNC's comments in the past, because I have respected his obvious intelligence, even though I disagree with his viewpoints. That post to GI Jim was so far above & beyond insulting that I just don't know what to say. Except that I see that type of attitude as typical of far-left personalities in the media and politics as well. I have no reason to believe that you care, but I am very disappointed in what just happened here. I hope Andrew acts on this.

While I agree with you, I don't believe Andrew will do anything about it. I can't believe that someone could have so much hate in his heart to post something like that. I've never been told (or typed) anything like that in my life. To say he wishes I was dead not once, but TWICE in one post? He's got some serious issues. I hope he gets some help.

The funny thing is that he think's I was referring to only the military, when I said I've worked hard all of my life. I started picking potatoes at the age of 12, then moved to working on farms until the age of 15. I then worked sometimes 2 jobs at a time washing dishes and delivering pizza. I've been a roofer here in South Carolina during the summer months for around 6 months, and I've also been in 150 degree attics running ductwork for my Brother-In-Law's air conditioning business, and running cables for secutiry camera's for two years in the same conditions.

I'm not saying I've worked harder in here than anyone else... It's not a contest. I've just stated that I've worked hard for what I have, and I don't feel like giving it away to people that his government deem more worthy of my dollars than I am. For the record... I've done things other than kill babies. I helped build a school and a clinic in Honduras back in 1998 after Hurricane Mitch. I worked in a hot-ass Jungle for weeks, and I'm more proud of that accomplishment than nearly anything else I've ever done with my life.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I wouldn't take back 1 thing I've done in the military, or for this country. It has been an honor to serve for 18 years, and I hope they let me stay another 18 years! :D If not... I'll retire, then be a full-time musician.

I hope that's not the case, Jim, because it would lend a level of hypocrisy to Andrew's whole 'respect' thing that I've never seen.

As for the work thing, it doesn't matter. Having been a military wife, I KNOW the level of sacrifice that goes into 'working' for the military. I've lived it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to keep what you've worked for, instead of giving it up to someone who isn't willing to work for anything.

There's no reason for the hate-filled post. Period.

What has the taco done to help his community, or fellow man?

I hope that's not the case, Jim, because it would lend a level of hypocrisy to Andrew's whole 'respect' thing that I've never seen.

As for the work thing, it doesn't matter. Having been a military wife, I KNOW the level of sacrifice that goes into 'working' for the military. I've lived it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to keep what you've worked for, instead of giving it up to someone who isn't willing to work for anything.

There's no reason for the hate-filled post. Period.

Thank you Donna, I appreciate you and your post. I'm no saint, and I have made (and will make) many mistakes in my life. I just have the philosophy that if I earn it... I'd like to keep as much of it as possible. People that are able-bodied cititzens that just sit at home collecting welfare? I have a SERIOUS problem with that! :x If theyre disabled, or are physically unable to work, that's an all together a different story.

And thanks to Andrew for deleting that post. I hope I never see ANYONE post something like that to anyone again.
