NYJ @ CIN: The Bengals missed out on an opportunity to show what they were about against a playoff hungry team. I understand them sitting, but showing not ONE ounce of passion is a prob, esp losing 3 outta the last 4 to end the season, and that lonely win came against the Chiefs and the Bengals struggled at home against them. The Jets defense is hungry, fast and furious and with Ocho Cinco running his mouth, look for that defense to come alive, just like the game against N.E forever ago. Jets by 10.

SATURDAY; 8:00 EST

PHILLY @ DALLAS: The Eagles have lost to the Cowboys twice this season, and that is rare since the Eagles have consistently had the Cowboys number throughout the last couple seaons throughout the East. It looks like many of the teams that knew there were going to be a re-match layed down in a way, Philly being one of them. They will turn it up a notch and experience will leave Romo and the Cowboys in the dust. We all know how hard it is to beat a division rival 3 times in one season. Philly is my pick to win the Super Bowl. Can the Cowboys pull a Steelers from last season? I don't think so. Philly by 8.

SUNDAY; 1:00 EST

BALT @ N.E: New England is as beat up as it comes and it couldn't have come at a worse time. Say what you want about Balty or how average they seem, but they are hard nosed and N.E can't afford to get into a slug fest. With Welker out, Ray Lewis and company are coming after a banged up Brady, and Ray Rice will wear and tear at that below average defense. Bellicheat is going to have to come out swinging. Luckily their in New England. Should be a great game. Baltimore by 4.

SUNDAY; 4:30 EST

GB @ ARI: Green Bay is the team I am rooting for to go all the way. I love the organization, the fans and the tradition, and EVERYONE knows they want to see Favre/Rodgers III for all the marbles. With that said, don't sleep on Arizona and Warner and company. I've said it many times, Arizona is one of THEE toughest place to play in the NFL when the chips are on the line and in prime time. Frenzied crowd. Arizona will be tough but GB is destined, as is Philly when it comes to a championship. GB by 14.

I will fall over if GB wins by 14... I dont by it...

GO RAVENS... and Bengals and Eagles...

my serious picks.. AZ to beat the Packers... ( I think the Cards show up for this game..) Packers have too many holes on defense in the secondary, come playoff time...

eagles in the upset... Bengals to beat the Jets... and NE to beat the Ravens... but I think that one could go to the Ravens...

Are you REALLY calling an Eagles win an upset? I don't think so. The Eagles were one series away from going to the Super Bowl last season and Dallas has yet to win a single playoff game since 1996. Don't buy into last weeks game. Dallas beating the Eagles is way more of an upset, but I don't see neither hitting upset feelings. Could go either way.

As far as Green Bay, if they can turn up the heat and apply pressure on Warner and force him to throw errant amongst the corners, then look for Woodson to have a big day. Also, Boldin likely out, so this means more blitz packages to get to Warner, as well as run blitzes. I love Green Bay in the playoffs this season.

Peyton Manning became the first player to win The Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player honor four times. The Indianapolis Colts' sensational quarterback romped to the award Saturday in balloting by 50 sports writers and broadcasters who cover the league.

He received 39½ votes to 7½ for Drew Brees of New Orleans. Only four players -- all quarterbacks -- earned votes. The other two were Philip Rivers of San Diego (2) and Brett Favre of Minnesota (1).

Manning also won in 2003, 2004 and 2008, breaking a tie with Favre at three MVPs.

It's too bad that Chris Johnson didn't play for a btter team. What a year he had. And I thought Favre should have finished second.

First of all ... 14-0. Let's not put the coach having no balls on Peyton. No running game, no Marvin Harrison, a new coach, Gonzalez out much of the year and he doesn't lose one fucking game as the full-time starter. Impressive and MVP worthy.

+1 and well said. Say what you want about Manning, but NOONE, and I mean NOONE means more to their football team than Peyton Manning and I think he lets that speak for itself year in and year out. It was a no brainier for MVP and that's why the results were a landslide.

If no one means more to his team than Peyton, why did other players get ANY votes....should have been unanimous, no?

In '07 Brady didn't even get a unanimous 50 votes....he got 49, and the rogue vote wasn't for Moss(who could have gotten MVP just as easily.) It went to Old man Favre.....should have been unanimous. Best year by a QB ever....

MVP voting is such a sham.

It's a sham because some writers have a difference of opinion and exercise free will to vote as they see fit? What? The point of voting is usually to gain a majority consensus, not to reach a unanimous decision. I really don't get you man

Regardless of what the votes say, Manning has been the NFL's MVP for quite some time now as far as individuality is concerned. Noone puts more time, more passion and more enthusiasm to the position than Manning, and that's with all due respect to the other 31 other starting NFL QB's in the league. Some may disagree but given the results that's a hard thing to go against. Regardless of any argument, it's a no brainer Manning is this years MVP. Period.

It's BALTIMORE that can't afford to get into a slugfest - Joe Flaccid is mediocre at best and cannot carry his team the way the running game can.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

LOL. That's great, Joe Flaccid. Thanks, I'm adding that to my repertoire of sports nicknames. I remember when he was getting hyped up last year - every time I watched him I was like ok, what's the big deal? This guy is very average.

Baltimore is well balanced. I think it's a good thing for Baltimore, esp going up against N.E's defense who could be suspect, that the running game could carry the team to a win and fortunately for them, I don't think they need Flacco to do all the talking. Flacco does indeed get a large amount of hype, but I've watched him enough to see that he's for real and he can make some tough throws, has a very strong arm, and is also strong to bring down as well and could move if need be. N.E is beat up and if ANYBODY knows Baltimore's history, good or bad, it is that they are tough, physical and out to punch you in the mouth.. something a N.E team has struggled against lately.

I can't wait to see Baltimore lose their cool after the first phantom roughing the passer penalty on Brady

I can't even choose who to root for in this matchup. I'd like to just see both entire squads give me an entertaining game and then have the entire winning squad break their ankles during the post game celebration so they can't move on

:D I agree. I'm torn, so I've decided to watch the game with an open mind and hope both teams could deliver because it's made for a GREAT matchup. Either team winning sucks and either team losing is a plus, so I guess just watch it and hope for a great game 8)

The one I'm excited for is GB/ARI. This is the one that is the most up in the air to me as far as what team will show up. Cin/N.Y is between both below average teams that are new to this playoff thing. Philly/Dallas is always a game that delivers and we know what we're getting from them , and N.E/Balt is a game between two teams that were mostly off and on for most of the season and could be a low scoring game, so that leaves GB/ARI to be possibly the most entertaining.

ZZZZzzzZZZzzZZzzz

Palmer and the Bengals are so flat it's actually hard to watch. Rex Ryan needs to un-cuff Sanchez and let the man throw the ball downfield. They had a chance before the half to get into AT LEAST FG range to make it a 2 possession game and go up by 10, but instead they opt to pretty much run the clock out. Their running game is coming alive but if they would have let Sanchez attempt at least some plays downfield this could be a blow out. Also, can't say enough about Jay Feely. Dude earns his pay. Punting, plus hitting 2 solid FG's, one from 52, both called back by penalties. Braylon Edwards needs a maxi-pad, the dude can't catch a ball for his life, right through his hands. This just in: The Wild Cat SUCKS. Please inform Ryan and the Jets of this. Complete derailer. They also need to tell him to stop Cedric Benson. The Bengals are poop without him.

I'll leave those two HORRIFIC pass interference calls on Revis to Malone since we all know how he feels about refs. 8)

THEE weakest team in the NFL playoffs, BY FAR.

Could of been and would of been if they would have opened up Sanchez a little more and put more faith in Sanchez and let him throw a little more then I think the Jets would of amounted a huge lead. The Jets are obviously beatable since they don't have the QB that can take them far, but SOMEONE needs to be a dark hoarse this season and that has turned into the Jets. Lets see if they can surprise.

I've come to the conclusion I'd be an excellent offensive Coordinator. Watching that first Eagles possession made me sick....In the battle for field position you can't fail at moving the ball to your 40 yard line. You have to play possession ball til you reach a point where a punt will leave the opposition in sucky field position(barring a nice return)....dink and dunk your way upfield like Brady/Welker....if you, in the end, have to punt.....so be it. At least you left them in their own red zone.....

The Eagles certainly turned in their helmets for maxi-pads. Dallas literally doesn't have to do a thing and they are still crushing. Philly's D has checked out, too depleted.

That's going to be the theme of this year's playoffs - beating depleted teams. jets beat a depleted bengal team.....Dallas(no player on IR) will probably beat a depleted Philly team.....And a good chance Balty will beat a VERY depleted NE team.....

Absolutely horrendous performance by Carson Palmer today. Absolutely sickening. He should be ashamed. He was once a decent QB. Truthfully he wasn't very good all year long, but today was enough to make BOTH the Browns QBs look good.

This Dallas Philly game is absurd. It looks like some of those recent Big 10-SEC matchups of the last couple years where the one team is just totally outgunned athletically. Dallas looks bigger, stronger, faster, and more determined. I'm disappointed, I wanted to watch DeSean Jackson make highlights this postseason. Doesn't look like that'll be the case barring a traditional Cowboys meltdown.
