Well, back on topic, here is the studio version of the tune (and by consequence, the official music video):

I think I might have liked the lead guitar work on the demo better, TBH.

I always liked that debut Nelson album...even liked Because They Can. What I have heard of this new one I think is pretty good...

OK, I've listened to the whole new album twice and, IMO, it's very, very good! So melodic and "feel good"...I'm digging it! A couple of tracks sound like they could be 90s Bon Jovi songs..."How Can I Miss You" and "Take Me There"...

Overall, I totally agree with Andrew's score...very strong record!

It's #6 on Top downloaded albums on Amazon in the "Oldies and Retro" category. I'm sure they just love that. Here's this new album of all new material and it's under "Oldies and Retro".

Well...when the (m)asses are listening to Kings of Peon, Coldgay, and Lady GagGag....I guess that category is all that's left for the actual talented folk... :?

Speaking of Nelson, I picked up the new live album. The band is fantastic, I just wish the quality of the recording was better...it's more reflective of a bootleg.

An interesting aside, Brett Garsed is one of my favorite guitar players. I was blown away by the first portion of his solo piece, "Uluru," on the live album. I sent him an e-mail with a couple of questions and he responded the next day...nice guy and a tremendous talent.

Also, the demo version of You're All I need tonight off Before the Rain is hands down better than the version that actually made it on Lightning Strikes Twice...

Agreed! I also prefer the live version of "After the Rain" to the studio version.
