My album of the week is Scorpions - Love at first Sting.......haven't played this one in a while, but man, it's a classy album!
The rythym section is tighter than a frog's ass, even if Herman Rarebell's snare sounds like someone hitting an opened spam tin with a meat tenderiser!
Great album.
Stand out tracks,
Rock you like a hurricane
Big city nights
I'm leaving you
Still loving you

Good choice Kenny!

My AOTW is Dio - Dream Evil. Because of the seventies sound of the guitars it sounds more like a predecessor of Holy Diver than like one of his later albums. And the guitar riff in Overlove is just so sexy! :D

Its not his best album but compared to most of his other stuff i hadn't really given it much time....Starfire the song is great and so id End Comes Easy.

Hurry the fuck up mailman

Not only is this my album of the week but it has to be the bargain of the week aswell.
For the total sum of £2.99 I picked up Deep Purple 'Slaves & Masters'.
Good album.

Marillion - Marbles. An album that should be a double disc, but isn't.

All of my trades and cd orders came in all at the same time, and I've still got a bunch more in the mail, so I wouldn't even know where to start on my AOTW.

So I'll start with Alyson Avenue "Omega" since it's on top of my cd stack.

AOTW: Blackeyed Susan - 'Electric Rattlebone'

Dizzy Dean Davidson formed this band after he left Britny Fox. He sings in a normal voice, not that most irritating voice he used in BF. Really good bluesy rock in the vein of Aerosmith/Stone/Faces.

I thought it was a double cd. Maybe only from their website.

Correct. I didn't know that otherwise i would have bought it somewhere else. In the CD is a voucher for an 'update' to the double disc for 10 pounds so I guess I'll update it.
They say that you can only get the one disc version in the stores, since retailers don't wanna sell double disc-ers. What a load of crap! I think it's just a stunt to get people to order from them directly. Cut out the middle men.

AOTW this week is Evergrey - The Inner Circle. Seen some mixed reviews on this one but I quite like it.

AOTW is Artension "Forces of Nature." I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Nobody, and I mean Nobody...shreds the keys like Vitalij Kuprij! :D

AOTW is new tribute cd for KISS, called "Spin the Bottle".
It got some of biggest names from the 80s eg Mark Slaughter, Doug Pinneck, Page Hamilton of Helmet.

Hey....i bought the first KSE album (and it was kinda not that great) I'm just wondering where all the popularity came from all of a sudden. The new singer is so much better though.......but the fact remains that i'm a teeny bopper...and KSE have a clothing endorsement (thats not very metal is it?)

AOTW is Kamelot - Karma. Mail order finally came in! If only I had discovered this band sooner, I could have played their cds more times... Songs like Elizabeth - Fall From Grace, Across The Highlands and of course the title track I can't get enough of. :D

My album of the week is 'Delicate sound of Thunder' by Pink Floyd - reminds me of the concert I didn't go to.
Pretty cool live album played real loud.

The Elizabeth trilogy is great...The Spell is also a favorite. I finally get to see them in September. :D

When I listened to the Spell on my walkman, I heard an annoying buzz sound in the song... They should have left that out, I thought there was a mosquito in my ear... Rest of the song is great BTW.

Have fun in September though! I thought you'd already had seen them lots of times? I wish I could be there to see them too!
