Great game... defense wins.. the Giants were the better team today.

Way to go Giants!!! The Steelers are my team, but I have to root Giants in memory of my dad and his favorite team now! What a nail biter! Everytime they get this far, I always think about how much he would have love this! Go Giants! Can't wait for the Super Bowl! :)

One I wanted to see out of all the scenario's once the Saints and Packers bailed out.

Gonna be tough. Brady would have to have two bad games in row and with the two week prep time this year, it would be a surprise indeed if Tom comes out not playing lights out for the big game.

It's a good matchup. I think the Giants have a slight edge in this one. They are the complete opposite of what New England has faced at home the past 2 weeks as far as preparing for an offense is concerned. Eli just went up against one of the BEST defense's in the NFL in their back yard. Going up against New England should open those wideouts like Cruz and Nicks more often. Flacco actually put the ball there today and Brady struggled against that defense, something the Giants can get done. But they always said, Billichick rarely loses to the same thing twice but I feel the Giants are a better overall team in this matchup.

Those two big catches by Davis in the rain made me have some big time doubts about the Giants' secondary.

Hmmmmmm. Let's examine this theory a bit more in depth. You do know that the Ravens were the third ranked defense in the NFL and San Francisco was the fourth ranked defense in the NFL, right? This just in...The Patriots were the 31st ranked defense in the NFL and the Giants are the 27th ranked defense! Hate to have the facts get in the way of your theory, but...

Brady vs Eli matches up pretty evenly...

My money's on the Giants D beating NE's O-line, which is no where as big as SF's is..

A pass rush negates those opportunities downfield. There was SLOP all over the place and that hurt the Giants overall pass-rush. The 9'ers have a big o-line and is built for a West Coast system, so that's tough for a d-line with a pass-rush. Neutral field in the Super Bowl. Pierre-Paul and Tuck will be on the turf. New England will have trouble, especially at RT but who can't love Wilfork's performances? He's been the Pats MVP if you ask me.

All 4 teams had horrible offensive showings today. The play calling needs to be better on Feb. 5th. So tired of seeing teams chuck it 50 yards downfield when they need 4 yards....then have to punt. NE was so predictable today. Every time they no-huddled, it was a run play. Also, Welker needs to quit whining after every play. Yes, he was getting raped - but the refs weren't going to call shit today - and that was evident from jump street.

I see some tackling drills for the NE defense later this week....and the ONLY person I'm scared of on NY is Cruz. Cruz on turf is going to be hell.

That was rough. But very happy with the Niners season and excited to see what next year holds. After the way everyone played today, I am not sure who will win it next week. Very different teams.

The Pro Bowl is next week. We'll have to wait 2 weeks for the big dance so both teams will be rusty and both teams will need some time to get the spooks out of their system. 8)

Told you all it would be close.

I am boycotting the Super Bowl though as New York vs. Boston makes me want to vomit. Makes me thing the sport is as fake as WWE wrestling.

Or Brady's bad timing interceptions. Baffles me that he only lost to Baltimore one time with the numbers he puts up against them. Just goes to show how BAD Baltimore needs offense within their team. That offense holds them back time and time again. Before Balty fans ball-wash Flacco for his performance (perfect ball to Lee Evans, better play by the Pats rookie) he DID throw that TERRIBLE INT right to Mayo before Brady uncharacteristically threw the jugular pick.

I think Flacco played much better than most of you thought he would and I called the score. New York vs. Boston absolutely makes me want to puke though. I think Vince McMahon is running all sports.

Bad play calling. This game should have easily been a 40+ effort from NE. I had no beef with the refs last night...other than Wes Welker getting raped on every play. And I'd rather be wrong in margin of victory than wrong on who was going to win the game...

Huh? I had Baltimore scoring 20, which was correct. I said earlier that no way the Pats would score 40, no how. I had them 34-20.

He called a blowout 40+ points. Maybe it was 41 IIRC. Still....

How am I an asshole? NE had 3 FGs. Add 12 more points to their total and they have 35 points. ONE more TD, and they'd have 42 points. Wasn't out of the realm of possibility. NE played a horrible offensive game - strategy-wise. Welker was being Sanduskied all game. And if Flacco did indded play better than Bieber, then the deciding factor was the defense. Looks like The Ravens vaunted *D* is on the decline. Their window of opportunity was just winterized.

NE - 31
NY - 17

What happened to your blowout? You were very wrong.

I'm sure it was due to a series of bad calls by the officials.....

45 points right? Your sports calls are so wrong.

He called a blowout 40+ points. Maybe it was 41 IIRC. Still....

Oh yah, right. You quoted me, not sure who you were talking to, haha. But Baltimore's D played how I expected them to. They are a tough gang, always was. It's a shame for Ravens fans that the offense lets down time and time again. For as good of Flacco played, I thought for sure they'd score more than 20 with that performance from their QB against a statistically bad defense. Flacco threw a PERFECT BALL to Lee Evans. Couldn't be a better one. Patriots just make the plays when needed. I think the Giants will move the ball quite well in XLVI.

Huh? I had Baltimore scoring 20, which was correct. I said earlier that no way the Pats would score 40, no how. I had them 34-20.

And unless you KNEW that Balty was going to force 3 turnovers - there was NO WAY you knew NE wasn't going to score 40+ points....if not for those TOs - it would have been 50 points.
Tom Brady IS the G.O.A.T.

Wasn't talking about you bro. I said pre-game it would be close and and did I not post neither team would score 30 points?

You're an idiot. I know football and you don't. Recall I said neither team would score 30 points? You do not know the sport and I do.
