Don't look now but the original Iron Man has almost caught up to Man of Steel in the 5th week. Raimi's SpiderMan isn't even a contest anymore.

that's only correct when you compare pure money totals....NOT the difference in the cost of tickets between now and 10 years ago, or more specifically, the number of tickets sold. It's a lot easier to get to $300 million with $10 tickets than it is with $6-7 tickets, but true popularity is judged by how many people spent money on a ticket. Both of the other films are ahead, and Raimi's Spiderman is ahead by a significant margin.

Not even sure why Superman puts his face out there for all to see. I mean, I get it, we trust him, but, I say if the red-underoos can't be around his junk, put them on his face. It's the only way Superman is Superman and REAL Superman fans support that, not this abortion.

The Jor-EL Hot Toy is absolutley SICKENING, that's how good it is. Sickening.

Comic-Con 2013: ‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

http://herocomplex.latimes.com/movies/c ... -of-steel/

I have a weird boner right now. I think WB could come after Marvel with a Worlds Finest before exploding into Justice League. A Supes/Bats teammup is some SERIOUS shit. I'm thinkin Worlds Finest 2015, MOS 2 2016, Batman Reboot 2017, fast-track Wonder Woman/Flash/Aqua Man 2017; Justice League 2018. DC is coming after Marvel now....

I heard something on the radio (came into it late) yesterday about a rebooted Batman, but I didn't realize it was a Superman & Batman aka World's Finest (title?) film they were referring to.

That is going to make a SHITLOAD of money. They better have a good fucking story/script!!

Early rumors are Chris Nolan back to produce with Snyder directing. If this is the case, I could see WB throwing the kitchen sink at Bale to reprise his role....

Whichever the plans are, they WILL be announced tonight! Stay tuned 8)

I don't know...I don't think Bale is up for it. Money talks, though. I don't think Bale will do it because whoever takes the role has to stick around for more movies, especially Justice League.

I think we're going to get a Batman that is halfway between the implied realism of the Nolan movies and the Batman of the comics who indulges more superheroics.

Zack Snyder at the podium at Comic Con '13: Just announced the SEQUEL to Man of Steel and he's bringing a Bat with 'em!

“I’m so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can’t wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let’s face it, it’s beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world"

Yep, Bale officially out. I like how this is Superman's world and a direct sequel to Man of Steel, not just a stand-alone Worlds Finest movie. It will basically be a Superman movie with the introduction of the new Bats. Man of Steel 2 featuring Batman. The endless possibilities of AWESOMENESS are ENDLESS:

Lex Luthor's ploy to end this alien, Super-Man's reign once and for all from the destruction of the Supes/Zod fight that ruined Metropolis; convinces the public.

Bruce Wayne's interest in re-building Metropolis, working closely with other billionaire playboy entrepreneur, Lex Luthor.
Clark & Lois get scoop, interview Gotham's playboy and his investments and arrival to Metropolis.

Supes/Bats confrontation.
Wayne/Luthor unite as business partners.

Batman finds Kryptonite; Luthor dissects it to make Metallo.

Lex exposes his villainy, Metallo attacks the Bats.

Supes shows up, saving Batman from this attack; is hurt from the Kryptonite.

Batman rescues Supes, takes him away.

Luthor is pissed; channels Brainiac.

Supes/Bats aware of this menace from COLU, forms a team of superheros;

Flash cameo

The movie will draw inspiration from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

The crowd reportedly lost their shit when the guy who plays the General came out and read that piece of dialogue, and then the double logo appeared.

Maybe if DC grasps at this Superman/Batman straw, they'll produce a movie that can even outperform Iron Man, since MOS ain't gonna do it. DC just has weak characters. Batman being the best of them.

This seemed like the plan all along. With Marvel introducing heymakers literally left and right,WB couldn't
Afford to wait 3 years for Superman and another 3,4,5 to get JL lifted. Here , this is exactly what WB needed to stay afloat
With Marvel. This sets up a Man of Steel sequel, but introducing the new Bats and Luthor alike. This will set Flash and finally, JUSTICE LEAUGE. This is huge...

The whole act of bringing Batman in to salvage MOS2 undermines the whole Justice League movie. They're the 2 biggest draws. What were those clowns at DC doing when Fury mentioned the Avengers initiative? Why didn't they get off their asses back then? They sat back to see what happened I guess. They watched Marvel hit it out of the park and now they're rushing what more than likely will be a giant clusterfuck. I think Green Lantern was their best chance to have a character outside of Batman and Superman carry their own film and I think the DC suits know it too.

THIS is gonna be huge!

Everybody has been waiting for Justice League for YEARS and Man of Steel was key to the success to mold and go through with the universe. It did its job, now the universe is setting up while introducing a new Batman, which will in turn, introduce new franchise's like Flash, Aquaman and eventually Wonder Woman. The DCU is finally happening with a damn BANG.

Though Avengers 2 will be huge, obviously, Worlds Finest is going to give AV2 the shits and quivers.......

You have to remember that there is no "DC Studios" like "Marvel Studios." It's the "Warner Bros. suits," not the "DC suits." You're blaming the wrong people.

Green Lantern was a good chance that was blown. I think Wonder Woman could carry her own movie, but the "Warner Bros. suits" don't. The show got scrapped, but that wasn't Wonder Woman. That was "a chick in L.A. fighting crime at night, wearing WW's costume."

Movies basically about the little kid all grown up from "The Incredibles", a guy riding around on a seahorse, and WW and her metal bracelets and magic lasso?

If any of these get made it's gonna make Green Lantern look like a masterpiece.

You think everyone is going to wait with great anticipation to see Batman's big return to the big screen after a lengthy, what 3 year absence? "What do you think the batmobile's gonna look like this time?" "Do you think this Batman will sound like lurch from the Adams Family too?" "Who do you think's gonna win when they fight the indestructable guy with immeasurable strength who can burn anything with heat vision or the guy with the utility belt?"

My biggest complaint about X3 was that they tried to cram so much stuff into so little time. JL throwing all these characters in not to mention having to introduce villians or a plot in 2-2 1/2 hours is going to be awful. Marvel did it right by telling everyone's story then all they had to do was bring them together.

Believe me, Marvel has about as much to worry about as Ferrari had to worry about the Yugo.

As predicted in this very thread, MOS was a financial dud, so they are shoe-horning Batman into the mix. This is very premature, considering that Superman isn't even a fully formed character yet in MOS. Wolfgang Peterson was going to direct a Batman vs Supes film years ago. Wonder if any of that script will be utilized?

Bahahahaha, okay, dude

You think everyone is going to wait with great anticipation to see Batman's big return to the big screen after a lengthy, what 3 year absence "What do you think the batmobile's gonna look like this time?"

Yeah, this is going to be a young, brash Batman in his earlier years standing alongside Cavill's Supes. There's 10X more dynamic of the Batman character that WASN'T explored in TDK trilogy that would be more in-tune to the comic books, which paints him out to be the smartest dark detective ever lived. Tons of people want THAT Bats.

The Batmobile will look like......uh, the Batmobile but I don't think we'll see much of that flushed out..

"Who do you think's gonna win when they fight the indestructable guy with immeasurable strength who can burn anything with heat vision or the guy with the utility belt?"

The most interesting aspects of the Supes/Bats characters together is the struggle within character development and relationships that stem from the same seed, but different root. I think most of this will be more about the Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne relationship than a boxing match between the two. I don't think we'll see the confrontation until movies end between Supes/Bats. The possibilities are endless and it's going to be EXCITING.

Believe me, Marvel has about as much to worry about as Ferrari had to worry about the Yugo.

You think? Pitting the two most beloved icons of ALL TIME in cinema history for the first time ever? Okay, we'll see in '15. Like I said, Avengers 2 will be something, but a Worlds Finest is going to be bonkers and something we've NEVER seen before. It's go time. Going to be FUN 8)
