You've got to make up your mind, Malone. Are you a Lions fan? A Barry Sanders fan, or a Patriots fan? You've stated numerous times in the past that you are NOT a Pats fan, but you sure do go to battle for them and even made fun of JFB here and there. What's the dealio?

Would Romo go back to holding for Field Goals and extra points???

I just read this too... 6 games is almost half a season!! He deserves it and is about the right amount of time, does his pay get suspended too???
ESPN said: "Sitting out all six games would cost Roethlisberger an estimated $2.8 million."

Adam Schefter is saying that schedule maker knew how many games Ben was gonna get, and scheduled accordingly....
Fact Finder wrote:Per Adam Shefter:
Here are teams that Steelers have called about Roethlisberger: Rams, 49ers, Raiders, Bills, Jaguars, Seahawks and Browns.
The Steelers had a brief conversation with the St. Louis Rams over the weekend, according to a league source, but the Rams weren't interested in taking on Roethlisberger. The Steelers wanted to send Roethlisberger to the Rams as part of a package to move up to No. 1 overall in this week's draft and select Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford.
The Steelers remain open to dealing Roethlisberger, but they want decent value in return. Given the six-game suspension and the limited interest in Roethlisberger, team sources now view a deal as extremely remote, if not impossible. They never viewed it as likely from the onset, but they were extremely open to it.

Me, personally, I can't wait for the draft to simply be OVER and want to get to the bottom of being jerked around with "He's not going to be traded" or "he's going to be traded" controversy. I am defiantly bracing a trade if it does indeed happen, and by this point, it's up in the air. Of course, Pittsburgh is playing their cards right and IMHO, they want Ben out of Pittsburgh and are working over time to get a deal done.
Ben to the Browns. What a fuckin turn of events this is shaping up to be. This is indeed, a nightmare. Who would of ever thought some 14 months ago that Ben AND Santonio Holmes were considered to be trade bait and out of a Steelers uniform. Unbelievably BACK BREAKING.

I kinda buy into the "They're trying to scare him straight" theory myself. I'll be surprised if a deal is done come start of draft time tomorrow night.

wow...that is interesting... I am surprised the league didn't schedule the steelers some AFL teams to boot... no guts league is at it again...
it would have been great TV for the announcers of those early steelers games to talk about BEN...

Huh? AFL teams? You're saying the Steelers have an easy schedule? First off, this is 2010. Not 2009, 2008, or 2007. The NFL, once 365 days rolls around, drastically evolves into make-over mode compared to the season prior, so ANYONE who thinks they have a hard/easy schedule simply is mis-informed of how the NFL works. Also, the opponents for the next several years are and were ALREADY determined before hand, and goes by yearly inter voles within each division. The only thing that changes, and when the NFL forms its schedule is going through what team plays what team via first, second, or third place schedule.

No. It's real. It's damn real. Steelers currently in talks with 5 teams, the Bills & Rams have withdrawn talks at the moment. The team that seems to be most willing is Oakland. I could see a blockbuster trade involving Ben for the best shutdown corner not named Revis in Nnamdi Asomugha. That would be the biggest trade in Steelers history aside from the Rams for Bettis in 1996.

this must be as BAD a deal as Chumera's was with the Packers when he was in the hot tub and bathroom with under age girls back a few years ago... ruined his bid to much in his career after football...
