Seriously - did Tiger's wife break his nose with a nine iron over this?

Enquirer: Tiger Cheating On Wife With ‘Party Girl’

Nov. 20, 2009, 1:07pm

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER reports this week that Tiger Woods has been cheating on his wife Elin Nordegren with a 34-year-old “New York party girl” named Rachel Uchitel.

In the Enquirer’s Dec. 7 issue, Michael Glynn reports that Woods’ alleged brunette mistress has a “reputation for dating married celebrities” and has had trysts with Woods in New York, Las Vegas and Australia, where Woods recently played in the Australian Masters.

It was at Woods’ hotel in Melbourne where the Enquirer confronted Uchitel about the relationship.

When confronted, Rachel insisted she was in Melbourne on business and denied carrying on an affair with Woods. Rachel also claimed that she’d traveled to Australia with a boyfriend. In a later conversation however, she admitted to THE ENQUIRER she had lied about going to Australia with a boyfriend.

Glynn also reports that Uchitel admitted “she had met Tiger on two different occasions.“

The Enquirer reports an attorney for Woods, who is unnamed in the story, “vehemently denied an affair” but added that “the golfer may have been at the same nightclub as Rachel at some point.“

The website Blackbookmag.com has a profile on Uchitel, which includes this intro:

Rachel Uchitel has run the velvet ropes from Las Vegas to the Hamptons. Uchitel’s come a long way — she lost her fiancée in the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11, found love again, then moved on once more.

Quote from Uchitel: “Although I’ve been romantically linked to a famous baseball player, a Broadway star, a musician, and various film and television actors, I will never kiss and tell!“

The NEW YORK TIMES has a piece on Uchitel that revealed her former fiance died in the 9/11 World Trade Center bombing.

Needless to say, the woman gets around (1,300 Facebook friends!). If this is true, I’m shocked, stunned and amazed that Woods would get involved outside his marriage with such a high-profile woman in New York City. You would think he would’ve at least Googled Uchitel - which would’ve indicated that a relationship with her would be nearly impossible to keep under wraps.

Amazing that the Enquirer, if this story is true, scooped the ravenous NYC tabs in their own backyard.

So how did the Enquirer get tipped on the story? Probably through a connection with the mag’s sister publication, Star magazine. Star previously reported that Uchitel had been carrying on an affair for months with David Boreanaz, a star on the Fox TV show Bones. Boreanaz ’s wife Jaime Bergman was pregnant during the tryst, and he reportedly called Uchitel from the delivery room as Bergman was giving birth.

The Enquirer reports in the Woods piece that Uchitel has since dumped Boreanaz and is now devoted to Woods.

Most the time it's not a scoop. They sell the story themselves and act like they got caught. I'm pretty sure this girl did that on the previous celeb's infidelity with her and now with Tiger. She gets paid for selling the story to them, but acts like they caught her and she's innocent, and pockets a bunch of money.

I knew it.

"Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We're also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene."

Well that would explain the lies if she did attack him. In Florida for domestic violence charges, the victim does not have to press charges for the other person to be arrested or for charges to be filed. If they can prove his injuries were by her, she will be charged.

Unfortunately, I think that if you marry a professional athlete, famous actor or big-time musician, infidelity pretty much comes with the package. These guys are away from home a lot, have woman throwing themselves at them constantly combined with the fact that people are always telling them how great and wonderful they are. Not that it makes it right. Are there some of these men who don't give in to temptation? Yes, but I think they're the exception and not the rule. I think woman who marry these men either have accepted that some of this comes with the territory, but they love their husband live in a mansion and have tons of money & status so at the end of the day if their man comes home to them, they look the other way. The others are just kidding themselves or damn lucky.

It'd be tough. You need to keep a good entourage that'll absolutely stonewall you from doing anything stupid if you're out drinking and some hot broad throws herself at you. I don't think I'd do anything dumb unless I was really drunk and uninhibited, even in that position.

Some of these guys (a lot actually) are just egomaniacs that think they can do anything they want to and don't necessarily do this kinda stuff by accident like that.

Most of their entourage are enablers. I worked with someone who had an affair with one of the famous married golfers and his assistant/sidekick would make a lot of the calls to her for the golfer making the arrangements. And, yes, the golfer was a drunk. I doubt any pro athlete during their career has been 100 percent faithful except a very small minority.

But you never know what goes on behind closed doors. Tiger's wife is really beautiful, but there could be real issues with her. A client and friend of mine was married to a girl as beautiful as Tiger's wife, looked very Swedish, in her late twenties, and they had a baby together. She was so stunning and classy, seemed conservative, but it turns out she had a cocaine problem and real issues, like a hypochondriac, etc. She refused to get help. Her father was a minister and they enabled her and took her side. He had to divorce and get custody of the child. Looking at her I would never have guessed.

You're right Jana, no one really know what goes on in a marriage. One thing I do know is that infidelity never fixed a bad marriage. If your spouse has issues either live with it, fix the marriage or get a divorce. Lot's of people stay in bad marriages because of the kids or they don't want to lose half of everything they worked for. Tiger's got more money that Crocus so even if he had to give his wife half he'd still be rolling in it. Not to mention that he's a very young man and can make lots more money.

Especially having an affair with a ho-famous-person wanna-be like Tiger allegedly did doesn't help a troubled marriage, if it was troubled.

Tiger is worth almost $1-billion, so his wife could get up to half of that in a divorce settlement - especially if he cheated on her. What a dumbass! I hope it was a good piece of ass for that price.

"Tiger Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, changed the story she told the first officer on the scene, according to law enforcement sources.

The Windemere Police Department says Tiger's wife went outside, saw that her husband had struck a fire hydrant and a tree, and then went back inside the house for a golf club to use to try and extricate him from the vehicle. But we've learned Nordegren told a very different story to the Florida Highway Patrol, and it does not involve going back in the house for a club. Our sources will not allow us to be more specific.

And we've learned there was no blood found on the steering wheel of Tiger's SUV -- putting into serious doubt that Tiger sustained his injuries from the crash.

As we first reported, Tiger had a conversation with a friend yesterday, in which he said his wife had confronted him over reports he was involved with another woman ... and that his wife scratched his face up during the argument. Tiger told the friend he then left the house, started driving off and his wife then came out with a golf club, striking the vehicle. Tiger then became distracted and hit the hydrant and then a nearby tree."

I wonder if Tiger has been hanging around with Pac Man the boxer. That guy is more proof that as long as you are winning, you can cheat on your spouse and be excused for your behavior because you're such a popular guy.

Being famous trumps publicly shitting on your wife in these situations it seems.

Most beloved celebrities, sports figures, and politicians have done it. It's a dream world to think it doesn't happen. Paul Newman, apparently, had a roving eye. It's just that the majority don't get caught publicly. What goes on in their private life really is no one's business.

He's done it more than once, the latest scandal was right after his win over Cotto. Since he's a local hero though, that stuff gets excused.

Insert Neal Schon marriage count joke here

But when you fuck up to the point when it becomes public knowledge it does become everyone's business. You can't just enjoy the spotlight when the flowers are in bloom, you've got to be accountable when the weeds start destroying the garden too. Fame has a price as we know.

John Edwards paid the price. That's for sure. Screwing around on your cancer-ridden wife, who lost her son many years before, he will never recover from politically. People can't forgive him, b/c she will be dead one day and everyone will remember the pain he caused her in her last years by getting another woman pregnant and the turmoil that caused her.

I think that scumbag deserved every bit of outing. Same thing with Sanford from SC.

One thing to remember for those who want to keep their private lives private, and this kinda dovetails on GB's point, these people wouldn't be able to run around and fuck everything in sight or cheat on their wives if they didn't have the fame in the first place. So they have to accept the double-edged sword. The thing about a lot of these guys is that they are egomaniacal lunatics who would probably behave even worse if the threat of the paparazzi and the tabloids weren't constantly breathing down their necks. So maybe it's a good thing the media keeps them in check on stuff like this, at least.
