BJ needs to start stealing some decent lyrics. I've never heard so many cliches in one sitting.

LOL. My old bandmates and I used to say this all the time. They do write catchy hooks, and Young Guns II was an exception to the rule.

Just listened to Slow Down and sounds like Prophet was "influenced" by Shootingstar (Last Chance) and maybe some Kansas and Styx.

Decent song though.

I think MOST musicians steal or imitate other artists, deliberate or not! Think about all of the music that's out there, and it's impossible to come up with something entirely new. Either your song writing, your vocals, your melodies, etc... have been done before in some form or another!

If John stole the idea for his song off of the guy who gave him the demo... He's a piece of shit, and should have lost every penny he made off of that song!!! That's just me. As far as one of my own songs ("Losing You"), I deliberately have a reference to Foreigner's "Cold As Ice". Is it a direct rip-off? HELL no! I just wanted to honor the song and the band by having a similar riff. My song goes in an entirely different direction.

Sorry for rambling here, but that's my two cents on the subject. :D

This is way too close to the lyrics and music She don't know me.... Tico evidently brought the music. The original writers should have gone after them in the early 80's. Maybe they couldn't afford an attorney & or Bon Jovi did not have deep pockets at the time. Why not sue, after the statute of limitations ran out????????????

I hate Bon Jovi enough that I'd throw a fucking keg if their tour bus rolled off the earth, and while I heard some similarities in the 2 songs I'm not totally sold on this being "plagarism." I do think they heard this song's intro, developed the concept and made it much, much better. But I don't think that's against the law.

I dont hate BJ that much...but i can think of 50 other things I would throw a keg for if they met a similar fate. :D

On Young Guns- He also rips off ELO's "Don't Bring Me Down"- BIG TIME.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I believe it's the one with Little Richard playing piano and singing a verse- "You Really Got Me".
Funny story about that- Richard only plays piano in C. They had to slow the tape (or speed it up) when he came into the studio so that he could play in key with it. You'd never think that he couldn't just play all over the place, but apparently not.
