LOL, go figure........that was one of the only songs I did like on Generations. Nothing wrong with that song at all.

Shadowlife works for me now, although it took a few months of listening off and on. I pop it in regularly, it's a rather solid release.

Yeah, Better Life isn't half bad. And Butterfly is one of my favorites. The dramatic intro is a fun listen, and I love when the drums kick in.

Heard a few, but still the worst is Nirvana. That whole genre of "music" belongs in a landfill.

There's tons of records that are terrible, but there was SOMETHING about Prince's latest CD that gave me the chills in the worst way. I don't know what it was but that guitar had my brain screaming for help, and that's saying something when it comes to Prince.

Really? I haven't heard that new one, but I love most of his music. I think he's an underated guitarist.

The Fugitive - Tony Banks

Just terrible. At least Mike Rutherford heard the common sense to go out and hire some real vocalists for his solo albums.

The fact that you've actually done it doesn't surprise me. I'm sure you had High On You by Survivor looping through your boom box as you were pirouetting around the room with your sack in a knot like David Carradine in a vain attempt to hit the high notes.

I did the fruit basket in the bathroom of a wedding I was best man at (my best friend's wedding). They developed it at Walgreens and his wife was fucking furious. I swear on my life. Tito can verify the story as the guy that got married is a mutual friend.

Forgot about that piece of shit. Thanks for bringing that one up.

Van Halen III... I strongly disagree with you both... definitely an underrated gem, in fact one of my favorite VH albums. Definitely has musical growth and depth, but I guess most VH fans just want to rock, and this isn't much of a "rockin" disc.

An interesting album actually. I really like the more experimental stuff on the album - mature and original stuff. But the album wasn't Van Halen and would have been better if Gary wasn't forced to sing like Sammy and they left off Fire In The Asshole - worst crapshit VH song in history, made even worse by Gary prancing around on stage grabbing his ass while singing it.

AGREED 110%. There are a few Toe Jam songs I like - Nothingman, Fade Away, Black, and especially their U2-ripoff Given to Fly. Alice in Chains was incredible, and there are some early kickass Soundgarten songs. Other than that, grunge was, is, and will always remain music's illegitimate bastard Rocky Dennis-esque son.

Dan, Lita Ford's new album really is a profoundly terrible pile of rat droppings. There isn't one melody or hook on the whole album...Generations had a couple of good songs, but was mostly shit. Only "Better Life" remains on my hard drive's "melodic rock" genre playlist.

I'm in about the same boat regarding grunge... like some PJ, some SG, and think AiC was a legitimately great band. I should go out and try their new album... it won't be the same without Layne, but new guy is good too.
