The Letter - Box Tops (I still vaguely remember the center, kind of a light blue thingy).

My older sisters used to take turns taking me shopping 'downtown' almost every Saturday. Even at about 6 or 7 years old I made a beeline for the record department on the 6th floor of the big department store. I remember every week they had the top 20 posted on the wall, and then the 45's were lined up in slots by number. I'm pretty sure they were about 79 cents or something like that - I remember finally convincing sis to buy me one - and for some reason it was The Letter. I love that song to this day :) .

Mine was The Air That I breathe by the Hollies. Still love that song today.
