Back in the day you would see women throw their panties at him, but I think that was when hairy chests were in.

They still do. Same women though; granny pants don't have quite the same effect as lacy bikinis ;)
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Same - Billy Joel is one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time! (I'm listening to him right now - Honesty off the 52nd Street album). I also like Alanis Morrissette's album Jagged Little Pill.

My guilty pleasure... I guess I'd have to list ABBA and Barry Manilow in there. Really, I only like 2 or 3 Manilow songs though. I LOVE ABBA!

Forgot about ABBA. Great music.

Love it too! Barry Manilow is also a great talent - it may not be "cool" to like him, but who cares? Apparently it isn't cool to like Journey either.

The Classics played by Diane Bish in Europe . She plays on some of the world's oldest pipe organs in cathedrals. What amazes me is how many things she is doing at the same time.

First in 14 years? He released one in the mid 2000s... (I have it....lol)... I can't remember the name but it had a cover of "Black Betty" and another song called "Sex Bomb" (which is corny, but rocks... lol!!)

Tom Jones is as cool as penguin crap!! Love some good TJ tunes!

I should have said first album of original music in 15 years.

I love Tom Jones...specially his disco era stuff and his CD of "country" tunes. Jana or BJGirl..if you are interested...PM me. :)

Ahh - disco for me too - thanks for saying that  (I know many people who wouldn't admit it  ).

I remember going to a New Year's Eve party at a bar a few years ago - crowd was a real mix of ages - 20 somethings to much older. When the music started, no-one was doing much of anything, and then the DJ put on Stayin' Alive - the crowd rushing up to the dance floor was a sight to behold :)

I have all kinds of Christmas stuff... even the compilation ones from Starbucks and stuff like that! Although, I don't play them as much as I used to the last few years since Sirius has the all Christmas channel that they start in November-ish and run through the whole season - I usually just leave that playing!

You don't have a little Christmas in July? I blasted some Christmas music last July in my back yard, my neighbors thought I was crazy.

Yeah I have tons too, they're all on my iPod now, lol, but we also have a radio station here that does the all-Christmas-music thing starting around Thanksgiving all the way through, and I leave that playing a lot too, we let it play at work too, lol

I kept reading this thread and thinking 'but there isn't any music I feel guilty about liking.' So maybe we need to include Guilty Dislikes, because I loathe Christmas songs too.

Anything played in Australia, where Christmas is in summer and it's usally stinking hot, that references snow is automatically worthy of intense destruction, in my opinion. As well as nineteen Christmas songs that were on a 45 minute loop in a place I worked one year - 45 minute loop, 10 hours a day, for 9 excrutiating weeks. I want to start throwing things the moment I hear any one of those damn songs! SB was one of them; doubly unforgiven because it made me hate Eartha Kitt for a while.
