I understand wanting to move on and win championships, but to have been with them as long as he has and to have handled his announcement that way was tacky, to me, and disrespectful.

DNA, I'm in complete agreement w/you, it was handled very poorly, It made me feel
sick. You're right, many athletes have moved on to greener pastures for more $$$ and
a better chance at a title, it's part of their business!!

However, I also feel as though LBJ is running from a challenge. A "true" king
would own the heart of a warrior and he would've fought until the dragon was slayed. He
would've known how to lead his men and turn them into warriors as well. If he had done
his job correctly, in Cleveland, the king would have a crown, this king cannot lead.
Players w/far less talent and a hell of a lot more heart have accomplished what the great one
cannot seem to. There are great, great players that have gone crownless, but I can't seem
to remember any that thought they were as great as this one. Live up to the title or relinquish
the crown, off with his head ...

Anybody see the footage from what's going on inside of Cleveland? Holy shit, and that statement to the owner to the fans? In all of my life, I've never seen this kind of harsh reaction to a player leaving their city to play for another team. I understand the bitterness, the feeling of betrayal and all of that, but God damn, has this gone too far? If Greenbay had this sort of action with Brett Favre, then all of Green bay Wisconsin would be extinct following the events of an icon going to play for the BITTER RIVAL.

People getting cuffed, arrested, crying, fighting, burning, the whole sha-bang. Cleveland has been a city TORMENTED for sure, but the fans are def going all Dommer with their reactions to this. What is there not to understand that this is pro sports and nothing is a guaranteed movement and you certainly can't expect a player to give you his soul? In dedication of sports and with legend that goes with a high profile like a LeBRON James, I say he should have stayed for the sake of his name and legend to one city, but you don't need to call the Grim Reaper anytime soon.

Like I said, I don't blame Cleveland for feeling sick, I know what it feels like and have felt it more times than one.. but come on now, the franchise will go on.

Who wants to lay odds of LeBron blowing out a knee next season?

Dude, will you get a grip already? Miami has a ton of work to do. They have a total of 6 players and are at the cap already. They need to get some decent players and they have zero money. Last time I checked, three guys can't get it done vs 5.

You aren't going to win a championship next year. James has the heart of a quitter. Good luck trying to escape all the red ink your shitty organization puts itself into.

Us heat AND magic fans? Shit, not only are they the same state, they're from the same conference. Florida pro sports fans = a joke. I suppose I'll start rooting for the Reds and Bengals too... you know, just in case one of them happens to win.

The letter was great and 100% needed. Dan Gilbert is a self-made billionaire (by early 40s no less). He is a competitor and a real man, unlike LeQueen. You can't question his judgment or his leadership. It's also nothing like Favre. This kid has been a native son and loved here since 16. It is a huge backstab and Favre didn't fuck GB over anything like this, as much of a snake as Favre is.

People were burning jerseys, big deal. I saw one guy getting arrested on the news. It was actually pretty tame because people were (a) deep down expecting it to happen and (b) just too disappointed to be rowdy.

It's not about not pro sports being a business and having a right to leave or whatevre bullshit. It's about the way he did it on national TV, throwing the fans, city, organization, players, and owner under the bus - totally classless, tacky, and everything else to the point of not even calling the owner (who gave him everything - money, players, unmitigated access for his shitty high school dropout thug entourage etc) to let him know that he was leaving. He had to find out the same way you and I did.

Also, it's clear now this has been decided for a long time and he handcuffed our franchise knowing full well what he was going to do, all the while playing these bullshit ego stroking games.

If you honestly think you can boil it down to a mere free agent (even a star one) leaving his first franchise, then you are a first class buffoon.

Boy you aren't kidding. The attendance for ALL Florida teams is abysmal. They simply are a shitty sports state. LOL at Gator going to the two team card. How the fuck can you like the Tragic and the Heat? That's just fucking stupid.

I agree about the Marlins and Rays, they both deserve better. When the new Miami baseball stadium is ready I hope that changes attendance issues. It does rain a lot around gametime in south Florida but I know thats a sorry excuse. But as a fan who grew up in south Florida I can tell you that since it was 1993 before they had a baseball team everyone around that area rooted for the Atlanta Braves, especially with TBS airing all the games back then. My entire family still are Braves fans. Its loyalty. Plus the locals have a hard time staying with the Marlins when they dump the entire team after winning the world series.....The Rays I dont know, I never lived in Tampa.
I dont know if you've already started hitting the weekend boozebag but the Heat has always had respectable attendance. Come check out a Dolphins game, or a Bucs, Gators, Noles, Magic, Lightning.....then relay your knowledge.
