LOL, considering those 4 haven't been together in the last 14 years...... They are saying it is reminiscent of Lean Into It. I've heard it's good and hard rockin' with impossible guitar and bass on it. I love BS and PG's playing, but my concern is is Eric going to have to try to sing over a bunch showboating like on some of the earlier more hard stuff. And I'm hoping EM/Andre Pessis and PG had more to do with the writing this time. Either way, unless it is full of songs like Shyboy and Colorado Bulldog, I'm probably going to like it.

Andrew, what's your opinion of what you've heard so far?

What S2M is saying I believe is, that as a whole, Mr Big doesn't really write strong songs.

Kevin Shirley is producing it, I guess, and he's been talking about it a lot on his Facebook page.

:D Yep, it's all done and ready to go. Eric and Billy are in London, just played a little impromptu acoustic show at Yamaha yesterday. Sucks we'll probably never hear this Kotzen era song live anytime soon. Pretty cool to hear for those Kotzen era peeps. Eric still sounds friggin fantastic on this stuff. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mnVhHW4Bm0

Plenty of well-played and well-written songs in the Mr. Big catalog. Can't wait for the new album.

Mediocre? I'd be more inclined to agree with the producers who have worked with her -- Mike Flicker, Keith Olson, Ron Nevison, Richie Zito -- and say either "capable" or " good." More the latter, since she came up with the memorable introduction to "Crazy On You," and her acoustic guitar playing is a major component of the classic Heart sound.

Also, Nancy's a talented songwriter and vocalist. So, in my book, that makes her a good musician. If I want amazing guitar playing, I'll go for Van Halen, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Richie Kotzen, Paul Gilbert, et. al.
