Thankfully, no. My family is absolutely awesome... our yearly christmas eve bash is always amazing and fun, because it's not about griping and arguing and we all know that. Everyone is so busy and we're all over the place and don't get all that much time to be together so we take advantage of celebrating and being together and appreciating that time. We don't really argue about those things anyway, but especially not at christmas. time is too short for all that. :D

No, we usually just cut up and laugh over stupid things we did as kids. My grandmother is a hoot, she can liven up a conversation quick. My brother usually has us in stitches. He is really funny. We are mostly all thinking on the same page on religion and politics, so that is not an issue. But on trivial problems we have we try to leave them to rest on our family get together. It is not the time to hash out personal gripes. I know a lot of people use these times as time to "air their gripes". I only see it making everyone around them miserable.

My mom gets her sound bites from Fox News. I hug trees. Sigh ...

Fortunately only minor skirmishes at Christmas. :)

LOL Fu, same with my family, and I have a HUGE family, especially on my dad's side, he's one of six kids, lol. But yeah no major problems, and only minor little scuffles here and there, and they have of course either been politically related, or religion related, two of the things that aren't supposed to be discussed!
