There are also other hotel suggestions on the M3 site, but the Sheraton is right next door to the venue & within walking distance. It gets booked up quick though.

Ouch... Yep, not so good there.

That's the trouble with that type of smokey vocals though, it can go one of two ways with age, either squeaky/chipmunky or raspy/soulful.

I love that song and he really did sound great back then. I saw them, after they first got big, in NJ with Firehouse and they were so great. I really loved the way Tommy and Frankie would trade off solos. Those two played great together.

They have a great tribute one to Steve Clark from Def Leppard, and supposedly one of Steve's guitars given to the band was played on the song. One of those songs that starts out quiet but builds pretty big. It's good:

Tesla is a great hard rock band. Nothing more - Nothing less. The muscianship is excellent. Frank Hannon is one of the most underated guitar players out there. The guy rips. JK has lost a bit vocally no doubt, but the attitude and the live perfomances (at least the several I have seen) are still entertaining as hell. I am truely surprised to see so many negative comments on this band. Expected from some here, but a surprise from others.

Modern Day Cowboy...One of the greatest metal tracks ever, in my opinion.

Sean and I were the two that made some "negative" (but true) statements. Which one of us surprised you
I went to their show openminded and was hoping for a pleasant surprise. But I couldn't get past the vocals. If the vocals on a live performance are poor , half the show is ruined ( ask Augeri ).
But if it makes you feel better , I can lie and say they were amazing and I totally enjoyed the show :)
