That game might be my favorite ever. I just fucking hated the hammer throw. man, as a kid, that was frustrating and took a long time for me to figure out. I also used to play the fuck out of Atari 2600's Decathlon. In fact, I have one. :)

Really? The Hammer Throw was easy....you just look at the speed indicator at the bottom. When the speed is halfway within the last block...hit the button. Getting the 45' angle isn't important here. anything from 42'-48' will work. I've gotten a few 99+ scores....Try getting a sub 8-sec score on the 100M dash...

I liked the original Track & Field over the sequel, because the original didn't require you to button-mash like a speed-demon to beat the events. But with T&F 2, if you didn't have a NES Advantage, you didn't get very far.

during days of good stock markets and drunken ebay nights, this was one of the games of my past i bought and put in my formal dining room. in all i've had tron, star wars (where you blow up the death star in vector art) tempest, stargate (still have) and a lost world and kiss pinball machine. kiss needs a ton o love.

but i could crush this game just because of the way i could put my fingers on the buttons and fly along. i could also break out a pencil and hit 1 side real fast and let the other end of the pencil hit the other button.

making the javalin hit the bird was always fun.
