Haven't come across a snake for years now. Thank God, as EVERY snake in Tasmani ais venomous and AU has 9 of the 10 worst in the world. Growing up we had a 6ft Tiger Snake living under the outdoor BBQ area. Lovely

Yep...snakes, spiders, jelly-fish, sharks...

And wombats, let's not forget the wild, rabid wombats! Place is littered with 'em!

This thread gives me the creeps. Thats why I will only live where it is cold. Nothings gonna creep up an bite you in the cold, unless its a dang polar bear.

Tonic, I don't like the rattlesnakes, but I would damn sure freeze my ass off up your way!!!!!! I've had to kill a few rattlers, but I was shitting myself as I did it...........

BTW - I don't know why people go on and on about Aussie spiders, we only have 2 lethal ones (and the redback is really only lethal if you're a small child or elderly with a heart condition.) Most of our spiders, especially the big ones, are harmless. I'd be much more worried about spiders in the US.

Growing up half in the country with my Dad, and half on the beach with my Mamma, got to tell you I'm much more freaked out by these itty bitty critters - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNxJwCGJtsA. I still won't touch a drink can left on the beach, because they like to hide in them.
