I will take your job offer under advisement. Can one of my non-paid perks be listening to Steve's more recent demos? :D

You realize that anything "recent" from Steve is probably fairly old and might smell like socks, right?

What are you doing in SPs dirty sock hamper?

At least I'm not in his sewer pipe gleaning corn from shit.

Well I guess if you were...it would keep you out of trouble for a bit...

If it's a two person company, doesn't that make you the vice president?

Great point Don

Seriously what type of business is that? With a name like that, what kind of clientel would even take that company seriously. With a small company like that, your lucky if he pays you for time off during holidays. Most of them if you don't work on a holiday, you don't get paid. Yeah, you need to get a better job than that place because this guy probably has no managment skills, no people skills, no communication skills, etc. The company probably doesn't even have any recognition and rewards system in place, which lowers the moral of working there. Since he's the owner he has no one to answer to so he basically dictates how he wants things to be run, regardless of how f'ed up they are. I've been there, done that and it sucks to be in that situation where you are depending on a job like that for your bread and butter.

So with this information about your employer, it seems to be obvious that he's trying to get away with not paying you for something. In this case he's taking away hours you worked by saying you didn't work them. So confronting him with documents will only piss him off because your calling him on the carpet in regards to his agenda. Your between a rock and a hard place because if you let him slide on this, he will continue. On the other hand if you don't let it slide, he may try and get rid of you. Next thing he will do is not pay you in full but tell you he will make up the difference next pay period. If he does that, he could be busted by the state though. Find another job and you'll be happier for sure.

Marabelle hit it on the head with the "cheap" comment. He is cheap!

As to the company, it is a small franchise operation. Hence the me, myself, and my boss inc. comment. We had sales reps at one point, but both quit. Now that they're gone he is determined to go it alone, meaning, pushing extra work off on me. With sales being down, and how could they not be with no sales reps, that is all the excuse he needs to justify not paying me what I am worth.

The short story is something like this, to keep my job I had to agree to do some part-time work for another franchise. Only, I don't get paid extra for it. That interview I mentioned in a previous thread fell through. Back to square one.
