That would be hard to argue with. I even considered Matt Stover believe it or not.

Stover was a great kicker. I should know, he started his career with the Browns. He was probably one of the 4 best kickers in Browns history along with Lou Groza, Matt Bahr and Phil Dawson?

Rose, Bench and Morgan seemed obvious to me. But it would be a tough call between Perez, Concepcion and Larkin for the final spot.

Staubach, Dorsett and Smith were obvious to me, but I would have had a hard time deciding on the final spot. I still can't decide.

You don't put Dorsett on your list?

That's the problem with the Cowboys greats....there are too damn many of them on both sides of the ball. lol

Lilly's GOTTA be on there. "Mr. Cowboy".

I guess that's okay if it's merely a "favorite" players list. That said, if we're talking about all-time greats, Witten isn't even the best TE the Cowboys have had.

Disagree...And I wouldn't say Witten is a favorite. I don't even really watch the Cowboys all that much anymore. Anyway, who would be? Jay Novacek? He was a good receiver but not much of a blocker. Witten's a better blocker and pass catcher.

I'll nominate Terry Bradshaw for that prestigious honor. He could throw a decent long ball but he had trouble hitting the broad side of a barn on a regular basis.

I'd put Moose on there before Witten right now. Talk to me in about 5 years when his body of work is complete, and that might be different.

How about Mike Ditka? Last I checked, he was a Hall of Fame Tight End who played for The Cowboys. Don't get me wrong. I like Witten and think the guy's a really good player. That said, he's probably not even a top 5 Tight End of his own generation, let alone the greats of days gone by.

It also says to list your favorite players, not belittle others. The worst is Namath, btw.

Sorry dude. Can't help myself when it comes to sports...especially the douche Cowgirls  I actually don't disagree with your point on Namath. That said, he's in an entirely different category for me, because I've NEVER figured out why the fucker is even in the HOF. As average as Aikman was, I would defend his right to be in the HOF, because just based on his winning percentage, he belongs there.

I'd take that B team over most of the other A-Teams! Could you imagine Ronnie Lott as a safety on the current Niner's defense?

No apologies necessary, John. I should have added a smiley or something, because it was in good humor. I know your disdain for anything Cowboys, but you do have a good point where Aikman is concerned. I think if Romo had that same team to play behind, as much as I don't trust him, he would have done as well or better. Aikman was a dick to me one day, so while I appreciate his time with the Cowboys, he wouldn't be on my Mt. Rushmore.

One little thing....Aikman was the first Cowboys hero I got to watch, even though I always hoped Danny White would be that guy. I never got to see Staubach, except for on tape, AND I had to sit through Hogeboom...so ya gotta cut me some slack for including him initially. AND...he WAS one of the most accurate passers I had ever seen at that point.
