Yes, that's a major problem here also....except for the "rarely tour the US". 99% of them don't....and if they do, it's one show in California or Idaho. Not very easy to get to from NC.

Me too....back in 1978. I won't tell you all the lurid details but it was a cheap night out.....you could get a piece of tail for the price of a beer at a bar here these days.

I'm definitely starting to burn out on seeing certain acts. But being younger and not having seen most of my favorite acts in their primes, I do like to take the opportunity to see many of them as much as I can now. That feeling is amplified by the fact that I know there won't be a lot of good vintage acts for me to see in another 20 or 25 years when I'm 47, 48, 49, 50 etc.

When concert tickets went north of $100, I stopped. NO one is worth that....

I'll go see paul gilbert or doug aldrich play some one off gig for 20 bucks, or something like that....

But to spend 100-150 bucks to watch a journey, reo, Styx or foreigner play it safe with their respective dirty dozens? No effing way...

The cost of the concert ticket has almost forced these acts to play it safe....and nick schlong has said so himself. I'd rather see one of these acts come out, charge 35 bucks and fucking go completely off the reservation....playing obscure stuff, covers, etc. they have a bottom line, so they'll never do that....but 100-150 bucks for an act to play the same shit I've heard them do for the past 10 years, no thank you.

I get your point of view but unfortunately that's how it is now. Take me
for example I just saw styx this past weekend. $60 bucks each for two
tickets also not counting ticketmaster fees plus shipping costs. However
it was well worth the cost/travel expenses as it was another fantastic
show as a couple deep cuts were played as well as tommy shaw forgetting
what state he was in
