if it's trixter , I will buy u a pink umbrella. And I will while my ass with my VIP tix :)

I hope you're prepared to follow through on that! ;)

If it's trixter I will not have VIP tix :P

So....you want to come for 3 days and do the VIP thing....but because ONE band is different on the Sunday (who's main person was not going to be at the VIP anyway), now you want to cancel the whole weekend thing?

That makes no fucking sense at all.

Folks - if this show isn't well supported, there will be no message board left to post on come June 1.

Just my desparate 2 cents... There are so many cool bands with several hits that hopefully might fill that spot for a decent price besides Trixter. I can't even name a single Trixter song. DOKKEN, Great White, FireHouse, RATT, W.A.S.P., Lynch Mob, Cinderella - maybe even Stryper! Please, please... if it has to be Trixter, let them open the day so Bombay Black can move up and fill that spot.

I think I have a very simple and acceptable solution - just give Winger more money and let them play twice as long. They definitely have enough material. I'd totally be up for that. :)

C'mon....I work in the business. I know what is possible and what's not. Ratt want $25-$30k. Stryper the same. I'm not even close to breaking even, so accept that you may not like one band and get ober it please folks.

What about the Neal Schon Band? :D Unless they're writing their new album during that time.

I think I asked you this, but have you asked Peter Cetera? He did a benefit last year in the area and the dude is still a big draw ... as he should be. And now that Soto's not going to be there maybe you can ask Kevin Cronin. Cheap Trick?

Dude...first of all, fucking WASP sucks ass, and if Blackie were there, I may slap the shit out of him. Have you heard his comments on the state of politics in the US? Who the fuck is he? I'm the farthest thing from a politician, but what gives that washed up asshole the right to think his opinion matters?

Damn....RATT want that much per performance? No wonder why they've been so busy lately. Hell, in my opinion, the lineup looks good as is for Sunday. Plus, Winger played the House of Blues in Chicago on their last tour and I know tickets were over $30. So, for $55 you get them and a bunch of other bands on Sunday.

Trixter's debut was pretty good....I think 'Give it to me Good' was the hit, although I know there was another song that had airplay as well....a slower one. I think it's the original 4 members too.

Peter Cetera? I didn't know he still did shows. I actually saw him perform at the Borders downtown about 5 years ago. He was promoting his Xmas CD.

Too bad Jani Lane's all messed up. He'd put on a hell of a show and he would fit nicely before Winger.

Andrew....I saw on the Roundhouse's website that Dot Dot Dot is performing on 4/30 and they don't have MRF2 listed as a Friday event, either. Unless of course there is a smaller area for another stage set up and all. Do you know what's up with that?

I don't think I said anything out of line. I think sometimes it is easy for people to point out where I am going wrong, but are not aware of the conditions and resources I have available to me.

Rip knows I'm not being an ass...but I am getting a little frustrated and tired trying to deal with everyone's expectations. I think the line up remains outstanding.

Despite what anyone may think of them Trixter were a damn good band and they put on a fanfriggintastic show. I saw them open for Kiss back in the late 80's/early 90's and they got a nice applause from the crowd

No, you are mistaken. They were AWESOME when Blackie put time into writing original songs. These are two of my favorites of all time from the Headless Children album, starting with the ULTIMATE 7-minute + WASP EPIC:

Heretic (The Lost Child)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6F791TdCBY

Mean Man
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6F791TdCBY

Frankie Banali kicking A on drums in both those tracks. He signed that album for me after a Quiet Riot show several years back, and told me that was his favorite album he'd recorded to date. Anyway, I don't see how anyone can those tunes sucks rock-wise.

And yes, I've heard a good dose of Blackie's political views. He seems to lean more toward conspiracy theory, but I think overall he's right -- in general, incumbent politicians today from both parties, need to be voted out. Power tends to corrupt, plain and simple.

I thought about Jani Lane, and wish he had it together. I had the luck of seeing him a few years ago when he had a year of sobriety under his belt, and he put on a GREAT show. I was really disappointed when he let the Warrant reunion fall apart. I think what the dude needs is some really good, solid friends around who will watch out for him and keep him in line.

Andrew's right, and of course I didn't take it personally. Actually, I felt bad about giving him too much stick. He's right that the lineup is awesome as-is, especially for a $50/day price. Maybe the band doesn't need to be replaced at all, but if he has something extra in mind that's a plus.

gotta agree with drew, its an event, not a solo show, where else can you get this close, for so little money, y&t are worth 30.00 themselves, and getting to see rob lamothe is well worth the vip price, had a blast at the first show, and didnt know anybody on this site, meeting people is partof the fun.
ps drew any suggestion i made is purely that a suggestion, not a jab.
