I used to work for Lou Dobbs over at Space.com.

Without a doubt one of the greatest men I've ever worked for. Some who worked for him, didn't like him, because he expected results from his employees and let them have it when they blew smoke up his ass or didn't produce...but I would expect that from anyone out there.

He's a good a man, is an independent thinker and what you saw on his show is what you get with him in real life....

A funny story about my time working for him.

I was a web developer over at space.com. One day, I make a change to the staging server and knock out the website over there....without realizing I knocked out the site, I pushed the change through to the production servers as well. BOOM! Website goes down...Now at space.com back in those days, they had the site refreshing all over the office...so right away, everyone knew something was wrong. I quickly rush to fix the site and revert back to the previous version. Total downtime was probably less than 10 seconds.

The editor in chief comes into the developer office and goes "Frank, Lou wants to know what happened!!!"

I turn around to him and go "Dude, I fucked up. I made a mistake in judgment and knocked the site down for 10 seconds"/

The EIC gives me this incredulous look and goes "Lou's going to have your ass" and walks out.

5 minutes later Lou walks in, pats me on the shoulder and goes "Best answer I've had from an employee in months. I wish more people around here would do the same when they fuck up instead of lying about it"

I learned a valuable lesson that day. No use in difusing a bomb that's already gone off. Be honest to people and they'll respect you for it. Especially your superiors at work.

Whatever he ends up doing, I hope he ends up in better company than he dealt with over the past few years....I wish him the best.

About Those Right Wing Extremists Who Killed the Census Worker in Kentucky [Greg Pollowitz]

The new focus of the investigation is a manipulated suicide for the insurance money.

i didn't know right wing extremists were accused of murder. i was under the impression the death was being investigated from the get go.

just goes to show you how sneaky the right wing extremists can be, making this appear as a suicide... clever

What a fucking embarassment. Seriously.

If he were a dog, he'd be on his back shifting his eyes, peeing on himself. Talk about being scared to act in control...

I would think he were just fucking stupid and incompetant to meet with international leaders, however this man has zero inhibitions in bitch slapping american business and interests both from domestic platforms and foreign ones....

So his bowing to international heads of state is a calculated thing. Ugh....I wonder how many notches this utter embarassment will take the USA down, before people start wising up...

What a completed douche this guy is!!! I don't know how anyone would need any more evidence that this guy has zero respect or love of this country. He's doing everything he can to destroy everything that made this country great. Everything he's done while he's been in office has been pissing on America and her citizens.

This is hilarious hearing people bitch about Obama. Some of the petty things they come up with are completely ridiculous.

Face it... he could piss off-yellow and shit green and you guys would be posting pictures about it, saying that it proves he is a Nazi.

LMAO!!!

That's funny how two people can see things completely opposite. I think Obama is doing a good job of restoring the lost respect and credibility that the USA had on the world stage that Dumbya had totally ruined. More power to him! So what if he uses the customary greeting of a country when visiting foreign dignitaries and leaders? It's no different than a handshake, and certainly cannot be construed as "pissing on America".

Why not bitch about something valid like Dumbya mass-murdering 4300 USA soldiers and 95,000 Iraqi citizens for no valid reason?

Not sure if this was posted here. Don't really read here much since it's mostly a bunch of cut/paste propaganda.

But, South Park hit the nail perfectly with the Glen Beck parody. Kinda funny to me how SP was propped up years ago by "South Park conservatives" and now they are making fun of one of their poster children...and did such a good job of it.

i love how hannity admitted they made a "mistake."

nothing retarded about the significant loss of life in war. some believe bush/congress went to war based on lies, some don't. at the very least the information that was used to justify the invasion is questionable i'd say.

Then there was the follow up on Thursday...which showed him sitting rhrough Hannity's program, acting as if it was torture, and then finally getting to the appology and saying, "it wasn't worth it!" Then, after the skit, saying that he didn't know why they felt the need to apologize anyway...cuz he expects this kinda stuff from them. Of course they have to bring on the intern who 'caught the error' to give him the credit. He's supposedly been assigned to watch Hannity every day to catch such things. He's supposedly 20yrs old but looks like he 100, and is begging somebody to shoot him, or kill him, or get him out of here, because he just can't take it any longer. Too funny.

He also did a segment with a parody of Beck...using a chalk board and 'just asking questions' and implying that Beck taking a few days off for being sick was some huge conspracy. South Park's was better tho.

But, of course the conservatives hypocrits only find the humor when he's bagging on ACORN.

No the retards were the people who actually believed that Iraq was any type of threat to the US or had anything to do with 9/11...and that title should be engraved on GWB's forewhead.

Can't have it both ways...bitch about GW going off on his own and then discredit UN and the multiple, and that is MULTIPLE, violations Iraq committed. I can 't believe how many people have selective memory.

Those that use terms like calling the decision to go to war based on "lies", it is mass murder, etc. have no sense and should just simply be ignored. If they truly believe this shit, why DID GW invade Iraq and why did Congress, including the Democrats that want to re-write history, approve it? Why would he do it? Just to get his jollies? make a few bucks for his cronies? Come on you guys. If you think so...you a warped. Just answer the question...why did THEY do it?

Actually, they should be commended for remembering their US history.
Ever hear of the Gulf of Tonkin or the USS Maine?
How about Operation Ajax or Operation PBSUCCESS?
The Neocon cabal that rose to power in 2000 did, and knew exactly how to pull a fast one over a sleepwalking American public.
American history is legion with false flag wars and coups.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see another one happen under Obama.

hoagiepete wrote:If they truly believe this shit, why DID GW invade Iraq and why did Congress, including the Democrats that want to re-write history, approve it?

The war was pushed in the wake of 9-11 mania.
Those that failed to support any W initiative proposed under "homeland security" were labeled anti-American by the GOP, and run out of town.
Just ask triple amputee Max Cleland.
Additionally, most Congressmen, Dem or Repub, didn't even bother to read the NIE.
On top of that, the CIA wasn't even going to release one, and the one finally made available to the public was altered to make the case for WMDs more certain than it was.

Go ask his Treasury Secretary, Paul O’Neil, who said Bush was planning on invading from day one.
Or his one-time ghost writer, Mickey Herskowitz, who said Bush told him back in 1999 that every great president needed a war and wanted to invade Iraq.
And the personal defections go on and on...
I don’t even think his personal motives are important.
Just follow the facts.
Here’s one great American that knows the score.
