That play's gotta be made, it was a good gutsy call, I liked the call given the score and how hot the Vikings offense is tonight.

True, true, but it wasn't a bad play, execution just didn't pan out. A low but catchable pass that HAS to be caught given the circumstances.

Great game. This REALLY lived up to the hype, and Favre's performance was nothing short of thrilling. If the Vikings can take this momentum of the two headed monster and roll with this all season then the Vikings will be a team to be reckoned with late season. Favre won this game by himself and was completely flawless throughout. This just goes to show that the legend of Favre will live on and he's looking outstanding out there this year, compared to last year with New York. This guy will forever be a gamer and if he keeps this up he will play for another year or two. He's an awesome player to watch. Pure legacy right there.

Rodgers and Green Bay had their shots but turnovers got the best of them. I think they moved the ball well at times but couldn't come away with points. Jared Allen is a beast and registered around 5 sacks tonight. Unbelievable. Allen is separating from the league as the best D-end, if not already. Looking forward to the re-match in Lambeau.

I've never see anything like that before. That is beyond funny. If I was that kid I wouldn't show my face that next week at school. I love the dramatics when he falls to his knees after realizing what he just done. You can't blame him for getting caught up in the moment but you can blame him for being football illiterate. All he has to do was take a knee, game over. Larry, your comment has me howling. Leon Lett was known for being the biggest bozo when it came to that stuff. Another that comes to mind was that field goal block where he pounded on the ball in the endzone. What a goon.

YoungJRNY looking at your sig, I want to tell you this weeks art lesson is to design your own Marvel Comic. My kids are really getting into it. :D

Good choice, Ging. That direction always seems to go over well when dealing with designing and using your imagination to a high level. Plus, it's fun and when you can mix fun with art, magic can come out of the whole process. 8)

Green Bay's pass coverage was simply terrible! Favre was good, but I wouldn't say he won by himself... not by a long shot. Green Bay D helped him out a ton, not to mention that decent RB he's got to hand it off to when he's not throwing...

Ive got to say as a long term Vikings fan I was on record as being somewhat less than enthuastic about Brett Farve wearing purple.

However, it real hard to complain about the good Viking perfrormances and wins.

Its kind of like getting gang raped by the dallas cowboy cheerleaders. Of course I swear all day that it was a horribly wrong thing, but not the kind of thing you complain about once it started to happen to you..... :D

Favre (24-32, 277 yards and 3 touchdowns), in my eyes was flawless. He picked the Packers D apart pretty much all night long (who have one of the best corner duo's in the league in Harris and Woodson) and actually was throwing the ball downfield with ease, something he hasn't really had the chance to do this year. They put up a stat from his previous games when throwing the ball 15-20 yards plus and he completely crushed that stat last night. Green Bay's defense held AP to only 55 yards last night on 25 carries. Not too shabby for one of the most explosive players in today's game. Green Bay's D helped out Favre a ton because Favre knows that defense inside out and it showed all over the place.

You picked the wrong game to make this argument! Peterson was DREADFUL last night and not remotely a factor in that game, even with his 1 yard TD run! The guy averaged about 2 yards per carry and was invisible out there all night!

Point taken. He's still a huge threat though and that opens things up for Favre.

Looks like a long season for the Green & Gold. :( For us Packer fans, that was pretty painful to watch. Now I know how all our opponents felt who got their asses beat by Favre and the Pack over the years. :x Well it was one hell of a ride.

The Packers have some issues, but the season is FAR from over at 2-2. I did expect them to use the momentum from that huge win in Chicago a little better though...

I'm not sure anyone really cares. My hometown team is the only team who Favre ever beat in the Super Bowl. He's an overrated guy and always has been! The bottom line for Favre is that he lost a whole lot more big (big = playoff) games for his teams than he ever won, and has turned into a whiny douche with his annual retirement tour the past 5 seasons!

Browns have traded embattled Braylon Edwards to the Jets this morning for linebacker Jason Trusnik, WR Chansi Stuckey, and a 3rd and 5th rounder. Good stuff, got more than I thought we could for him in a contract year.

The Jets are obviously in desperate need of a receiver (tampering with Crabtree, who is now a 9'er BTW) that is reliable downfield and that can stretch the secondary to give the Rookie Sanchez a strong target. Edwards tenure in Cleveland was held to a high standard and unfortunate for the Browns, like many other, he didn't pan out. He HAS to lead the league in drops. I've never seen such a talented receiver who gives defense fits but just can't catch the football. (You hear, Limas Sweed?) Still, with Rex Ryan's attitude in New York and with a rookie quarterback who wants to take shots down field, I think Edwards could be a good fit if he works on his game, but leave the Cleveland attitude behind.

I wouldn't be shocked if he turns out well for the Jets. Cleveland just wasn't it for him. He had a bad attitude the whole time and he blamed it on the fans, who allegedly hated him because he played for Michigan. Couldn't be farther from the truth. People loved him in 07, it was only when he started dropping every pass and dogging it by being soft that people turned on him. He was a huge diva and a problem. He may still have a good career, but he was never going to in Cleveland. Good riddance. I think he might be Plaxico 2.0

CIN @ BAL - I'm sold on Cincinatti being a better team but am definitely not sold on them being an upper echelon team Baltimore wins!

WAS @ CAR - ***UPSET SPECIAL*** I'm sensing a trend this week. Carolina gets their first win of the season!

CLE @ BUF - ***UPSET SPECIAL*** The Browns are AWFUL but they can't lose all 16, right? Browns win by 3, and TO breaks his QB's legs after the game for losing to the girl scouts

PIT @ DET - Mendenhall runs wild and Detroit remains in the hunt for the first overall pick. Detroit will probably make this a bit closer than it should be but Pittsburgh is simply too much for the Lions to handle!

DAL @ KC - Dallas can't seriously lose to an awful Chiefs team, can they? I say absolutely NOT!

MIN @ STL - Minnesota keeps on rolling and St. Louis takes another step toward the number one draft pick. I wouldn't be surprised if they won this game by three touchdowns!

OAK @ NYG - Giants will win even if they have to sign a QB from a local high school team to fill in if Manning can't go!

TB @ PHI - McNabb wins in his return!

ATL @ SF - I love what Singeltary is doing with the 49'ers and really believe that they're a legitimate team. That said, I think Atlanta has a bit too much for them this week and Atlanta wins in what should be a good game.

HOU @ ARI - I'm not sold on the Cardinals, AT ALL. That said, they're a better team than Houston and win a close game.

NE @ DEN - New England faces their fifth undefeated team in a row and hand their 4th undefeated team their first loss of the season. Brady is eventually going to break out and this may be the week. Patriots by 10!

JAC @ SEA - Mike Sims Walker continues his coming out party and Jacksonville wins.

IND @ TEN - Even though I was tempted to make this another "upset special" after looking at some of the matchups between these two teams, but I came to my senses! This is a bad Titans team who simply got lucky last season and are now playing closer to what I thought they were. Almost time to get Vince Young out there. Colts by two touchdowns!

Mon, Oct 12
NYJ @ MIA - Jets rebound and win this one.

Agree with all your picks except I'm gonna go ahead and call 49ers over the Falcons. Singletary was looked over twice for the ATL job and I think he will get his players amped up and ready to go.

For what it's worth, I'm not deeply committed to that pick and wouldn't be stunned if the 49'ers won the game. I like their team a lot and will like them a lot more when Gore gets back. This game could definitely go either way.

CIN @ BAL - Baltimore is one of the toughest team to beat at home, and Flacco is coming into his own early. Baltimore destroys Cinci. Birdies by 17.

WAS @ CAR- Carolina is bad, but not nearly as bad as this Washington team. With their bye week, they had two weeks to prepare for a gutless team.. at home. Carolina by 8.

CLE @ BUF - If there's going to be any game for Cleveland to win year, it is going to be this one. Still, I think they are too dysfunctional, and Buffalo is just as hungry for a win. T.O could have a good day. Buffalo by 10.

PIT @ DET - I had a chance to go to this game on a bus full of beer, hotel expense paid for and a ticket, all for 200 bucks. Can't beat that, Call came in too late. I'm pissed. Steelers by 24.

DAL @ KC - Dallas could possibly lose this! KC has a better shot than some people think. If Romo is so good, then this is his week to prove it! Dallas by 13.

MIN @ STL - Minnesota has their much needed BYE week this week. Oh wait.. PETERSON RUNS WILD. Minny by 25.

OAK @ NYG - Giants are too good overall to lose to these broken down has beens, who own one of the worst QB's I've ever seen. G-men by 16.

TB @ PHI - Another team that had a bye week to get prepared for a winless team looking up in the stars. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, Philly's defense smells blood, and McNabb is finally back to provide a nice compliment to that defense. Philly by 21.

ATL @ SF - I like Atlanta in this. Looking at Sanfran, they are due to have a defensive meltdown, and this is the week it could happen with a fresh Matt Ryan and a team full of weapons. Shaun Hill won't be able to dig the 9'er offense out of a hole if it ends up to be that way. Atlanta by 9.

HOU @ ARI - Tough game to call. Both of these teams are unpredictable week in and week out and are the Jeckle and Hyde of the NFL. Might be a shoot out in the desert. Arizona by 3.

NE @ DEN- Another tough game to decide. Denver's defense needs to turn up the heat this week and try to rattle a rattled Brady throughout. As the season goes on, Brady will just keep getting better but Mile High is still a tough stadium to play at. Denver is a tough defense and held an "explosive" offense in Dallas in check the last week. They are riding high with confidence and even though N.E is a better team 9/10, this is the game they lose. UPSET: Denver by 10.

JAC @ SEA -Jacksonville is actually putting up a quiet offense that is exploding on teams right now. Garrard has had a great last couple of games. Jacksonville continues their winning streak. Jax by 18.

IND @ TEN - Peyton Manning is the best player in the league, and his experience and invulnerability to an NFL defense never goes un-noticed. This guy is the most irreplaceable player to his team throughout the NFL and it shows every week. It doesn't matter if Manning has The Tortoise or the Hair on his team, he makes them into stars. Plus, I said I'd never pick the Tits again this season. Indy by 23.

Mon, Oct 12
NYJ @ MIA - Great match up, and great rivalry game in the division. Should be better than advertised. Jets defense is still too good for a Miami team to handle and Sanchez should have a good day behind center once he got back to the drawing board and leaves last week behind him. Jets by 13.
