AOTW goes to Hybrid Ice "S/T" The reissue from Escape Music includes a couple newer tracks from the band (reminds me of the direction Harem Scarem took with Weight of the World.) The rest of the album is the classic debut: Keyboard-driven AOR with killer vocals.

It's really too bad they never got around to releasing their comeback album. I would've liked to hear more of the newer tracks.

Mine is Beyond Twilight - The Devil's Hall Of Fame. Jorn Lande's singing is unbelievably good (duh! ) When I first bought it, it took me a while to fully appreciate it, because it's not the most accessible piece of music. However, I've come to like the dark lyrics and unusual melodies a lot.

Favorite songs: Crying, Perfect Dark, and Hellfire.

That is a good album! :D Although I have no idea how these songs sound... I notice that with getting older, I don't seem to link the songtitles to the melodies of the songs as easy as I used to. Am I the only one?

Good! I was afraid I might be suffering from early Korsakov... Anyway, it also might have something to do with that when I was younger I did not know that much music and listened to new albums more attentively...

It actually sounds Russian......anyway, the way you say 'early' makes it seem as though you consider it inevitable?

My mentioning "early" must have been a Freudian slip...

Didn't now about the vitamine B1 shortage... That must be it, because I don't drink that much... (says she who is off to the metal bar later tonight...  )

Good one. Its a great album that is sorely underrated in the Jorn catalogue.

I hate to disagree with people I more often than not agree with, but I feel it's 'under-rated' because it's simply not as good as some of the rest of his work.......another way of saying that is, of course, 'not as accessible'. :P

Compared to what Jorn did on the Mundanus Imperium album, Beyond Twilight is rather "accessible" though... :P

Hey S-Dip, you haven't had much of a break have you?
What time did you go to bed, about 5am? About 8 hours or so ago?

Ready for another session, or what?

Well, I've had a full nights sleep actually. I went to bed at 5 am, then I got up at 10 because my head hurt a little (weird, huh?) , so I took some aspirin and went back to sleep until 1 pm.

If you are referring to another session of drinking, I'd better pass... I think I am still feeling some of the alcohol from last night.
