Andrew, it seems to me that the Harem Scarem guys owe you one from last time. I know they aren't together anymore, but still...

Hardline?
Brother Firetribe?
Wig Wam?
Jorn?

Yeah, I know - too European-centric.

Damn Yankees are far from reforming...Triumph want $100k minimum per show and Loverboy were asked, but never respoinded, which is typical of their organization and why no one has even heard their last killer CD. Hopeless!

No REO. Too camp for me :)

Levine
Moore
Emmett

100k per?

This ain't 1984 anymore, bunky.....This ain't even Ipso Facto. Lower your expectations fellas.

The Rik Emmett band would be much less than 100k, much less.

I have asked Andrew about Shooting Star, ZEBRA, Loverboy (who I am still trying), The Kings - all bands that I have connections with...

Other than Wham!, I'd rather see ANY of these acts then pretty much everyone I've heard that has been "hinted" at showing. I'll wait to see the official roster, but so far I don't see anything that's going to make me get on a plane. :( I hope I'm wrong!

Gotthard were invited, but were unable to commit. They may have US plans of their own soon.

My big surprise for the festival couldn't make it work :(

Well if you were going to fund Gotthard, how about another Euro band to replace.

Not sure as to the extent of their US pull (if any) but based on recent Firefest attendances, the following would certainly provide great performances at MRF2 and any would get my vote.

The Poodles
WigWam
H.E.A.T

Also you could get W.E.T and Eclipse for a 2 for 1..... hell, thow in WOA for a 3 for 1

Cheers

Seriously, no one fucking gives a shit anymore....

in truth, if this genre is going to survive then next 5 years, it needs to move beyond the fucking dinosaurs of the past. Journey is the king dinosaur. Seriously....

At this point in time MRF2 is completely void of any band/artists connected in any way to Journey. There are so many KILLER bands out there... Got some surprises planned for MR die-hjards too :)

John Barleycorn in Schaumburg can top 1000. 7th Heaven draws 900-1000 there just on their own. No joke. The week of Thanksgiving last year, they hit about 950 (i'm lowballing to account for people who were "On the list" - the final count was a hair under 1000 I believe. 989 or something.)

Yea, but cover was not $50-60.

But the week of Thanksgiving, especially the night before, is historically THE biggest night of the year anyway.

Hi, Don! How are you? Hope you're doing well! :D

It is a pain - especially when you want to deliver a line-up even better and bigger than last time. Still working on a couple of suprises.
