Mike Hartinstine laid the hit when Stan Walters missed his block and Jaworski was out cold. Mike became the first guy to get sent to the league office because of a hit, even though it was legal (that's how devastating it looked). Tom Brookshier was so impressed with the takedown, he said the the dude should have got a bonus, not a fine.

Jaworski started the next game.

Enough said.

Well, let's see. Maybe he can pick up a writing utensil and pen a meaningful tune, rather than a rehashed BGTY/MOL and call it NWA. He does have many friends in the biz. he was the "Voice" of a popular American rock/pop band and oh yeah, experienced great success with his solo cd(Street Talk), complete w/o a tour mind you. let's face it, SP can out write JF/NS on pop songs. The singer can always write to his or her voice better than a key player or axeman.

How about this scenario Joepa? Writes a song for a movie that does extremely well. Goes on the talk circuit...View, Ellen, Letterman and Conan. Journey has always had awful, I mean horrid PR, whereas SP has done quite well in that regard. Again, not dissing your guys here, just saying SP does a few things better than them.

Lot of assumptions there simplifying what has historicly been a blood-sweating, kidney stone passing chore for him: writing, recording and putting it out.
"It's simple, just write a song, get it into a movie soundtrack as a hit, then get on Letterman 25 years after your last hit solo album (and don;t cal FTLOSM a hit)."
FIRST he' s got to find a window to get his small army of co/ghost/crutch writers into the studio all at the same time. That alone puts them into about 2017:
1. "Oh Sherrie" (Bill Cuomo, Randy Goodrum, Craig Krampf, Perry) – 3:48
2. "I Believe" (Goodrum, Duane Hitchings, Krampf, Perry) – 4:12
3. "Go Away" (Cuomo, Goodrum, Perry) – 4:05
4. "Foolish Heart" (Goodrum, Perry) – 3:39
5. "It's Only Love" (Goodrum, Perry) – 3:47
6. "She's Mine" (Goodrum, Perry) – 4:26
7. "You Should Be Happy" (Goodrum, Perry) – 3:20
8. "Running Alone" (John Bettis, Hitchings, Krampf, Perry) – 4:05
9. "Captured By The Moment" (Cuomo, Goodrum, Perry) – 3:47
10. "Strung Out" (Krampf, Perry, Billy Steele) – 3:51
11. "My My My" (Perry, Krampf, Richard Michaels Haddad, Steve DeLacey) – 2:24 *
12. "Harmony" (Perry) – 3:58 *
13. "Makes No Difference" (Perry, Krampf, Haddad, DeLacey) – 4:53 *
14. "Don't Tell Me Why You're Leaving" (Perry, Danny Kortchmar, Krampf) – 3:13 *

"You Better Wait" (Perry, Lincoln Brewster, Paul Taylor, Moyes Lucas, John Pierce, George Hawkins) - 4:51
"Young Hearts Forever" (Perry, Clif Magness) - 4:43
"I Am" (Perry, Taylor, Brewster) - 4:54
"Stand Up (Before It's Too Late)" (Perry, Brewster, Taylor, Lucas, Larry Kimpel) - 4:49
"For the Love of Strange Medicine" (Perry, Taylor, Lucas, Brewster) - 5:52
"Donna Please" (Perry, Taylor, Stephen Bishop) - 4:02
"Listen to Your Heart" (Perry, Taylor, Brewster, Lucas) - 3:31
"Tuesday Heartache" (Perry, Magness, Taylor, Brewster, Lucas) - 6:00
"Missing You" (Perry, Tim Miner) - 3:48
"Somewhere There's Hope" (Perry, Taylor, Brewster, Lucas) - 6:05
"Anyway" (Perry,) - 4:20
"If You Need Me, Call Me" (Steve Perry, Craig Krampf, Richard Michaels Haddad, Steve DeLacey) - 5:50 *
"Can't Stop" (Perry, Randy Goodrum, Michael Landau) - 4:08 *
"Friends of Mine" (Perry, J. Leo, Goodrum, Krampf) - 3:30 *

They are NOT rerecords. They are remixes of the original Lou Gramm tracks with Lou still on vocals. Kelly didn't want to do rerecords so the BAND respected his wish!

And WalMart must've agreed...wonder how drastic the difference is on the remixes by Fredriksen. So Lou Gramm will appear on this album huh?

There is a link for a seven song sampler in the Foreigner Forum, with new songs and older songs. I can't tell exactly but it sounds like the backing vocals have been brought forward a bit on the remixes.

I think it is going to surprise, and I am NO fan of this lineup but I just feel like Mick Jones' playing is better and harder than ever right now, he's had a decade or more unfettered to hone this material and he has a top production team aboard. I don't think it goes Platinum but it doesn't NEED to to be a big success for Foreigner.
I kinda can't wait for it, and if they tour it right get an initial song on radio it'll shift some serious units b/c evidenced by Journey and The Igglez even REO, the Walmart distribution co. plays no games...

Reo had two top 20 A/C hits from their Wal-Mart album and they didn't even move a third of what Revelation did. Itunes has made singles downloads more relevant than album sales.

There are over 30 artists with singles that have 2 million to 4 million downloads, yet not all of them have platinum albums.

Apple has changed the landscape dramitically with their Itunes service.

Yep this record is poised to do some biz GB....just wish they at LEAST had Rick Wills and Dennis Elliot aboard but I'll be forking over come 9/29.

I listened to the song clips on foreigneronline. Not a single one makes me want to buy the cd. Too bad too since I have always loved Foreigner. To me though, it ain't foreigner with only one original band member in it. The Jones/Gramm combo was right up there with Perry/Schon, and these songs really miss Lou's input... hmmm, all of what I'm saying sounds vaguely familiar...
