without a major re-write of the melody, I'm not sure even Steve Perry could get a great vocal out of that song.

now playing, Strangeways with Terry Brock on vox

never can figure out how he wasn't on the short list for a replacement for Perry. Absolute monster vocalist.

  I only WISH I could sing like that! Even if you don't care for the song... you have to admit that he has a great voice. While I don't like it as much as most of Giant's other songs... I still think it sounds good.:D

Well, I guess I was wrong....Seems to be Terrence Brock on lead vocals.....either way, weak effort, not gonna buy it, download it, or otherwise listen to it.

all depends on the quality of the other songs. I find it hard to make a final judgment on a full cd after hearing a sample of just one song.

I seem to remember this phenomenon happening with W.E.T.

...but that was in the other direction  Seriously though, heard plenty of albums that I love where a short sample didn't even come close to capturing the quality/vibe of the full album. I've also heard plenty of albums with one killer track and a bunch of filler material.

Terry Brock is pretty consistent, so we'll see. I'm just calling it a new band at this point, and there's nothing I've read/heard to change that point of view, so far.

I remember when they first put out the first 13 sec. clip of Rush's 'Far Cry' from Snakes and Arrows. Fans were clamoring for that 70s sound to return, and at the end of that clip you heard the sound of Cygnus X-1, 2112....etc. People were having aural orgasms. Then, when the Cd was released, fans were like WTF!? this isn't 70s after all, but being the Rush fans that they were(like Kiss fans) embraced it because Rush can do no wrong.

Yeah you screwed up big time ;-)

Good to see the line up. But, to misname the band members (the original ones!) in a press release is pretty bad.

And no new clips, a missed chance. Also, how was III highly acclaimed?! It sucked, except a few good songs.

I honestly hope they'll re-record the vocals on that song and deliver a kick ass record

I'm still holding out hope for a good record...considering who's involved in the writing, I can't see it being bad...I thought III was good, but a little sparse...only 8 real songs...
