Gee, I'm so shocked a board of old people who love MR would have that take  It wasn't the worst. It was better than the Stones.

I'm 37! I'm not old!
Um, I hate to break it, but that IS old. In terms of new music, you are old.

Oldies stations are playing 80's music now (p.s. i'm 37 also) :?

That was the worst fucking halftime show in the history of every halftime of every halftime. Hell, last year the Who had a great stage and did 100% better than this travesty. I watched the whole thing, kept hoping it would get better, but like my son stated while watching this crap, "This is everything that is wrong with music today". And I agree. Hell, I expected Jeff Bridges to come out for the encore, it looked like Tron Legacy on the field. What a clusterfuck!

The only risk happened when Usher did that jump but other than that, the Choreography was good. When you have this versus 60 year old rockers I think the choice for the NFL is obvious, go with what the kids want which is lights, dancing and multiple acts.

The best one was when they mixed the young and old. Can't remember what year it was. Areosmith, NSync, Britney, and Nelly........pretty good mix of all on Walk This Way. Aerosmith, you know it's going to be good. And the vocals were good, all live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai8o5-Vr ... re=related Love how Tyler and Perry just stroll on stage all cool as hell! :)

Now THAT was a halftime show!! I'd forgotten about that one Deb. Thanks for posting it!

I thought the BEPs were terrible. (although I'm not a huge fan of theirs anyway). Usher was the only thing that saved it for me. But he wasn't onstage long enough. He should have been the headliner for halftime.

To the guy who invented AutoTune "Thanks a lot Fu**head!!"
S U C K E D. I normally don't mind the BEPs. My kids like em and they've got some cool songs,
but the whole Rap "I'm gonna yell sh*t till I get a reaction" thing is just stupid.
It's like when you're doing a gig and some drunk chick screams crap into your mic. Puhleaze, sittdown!

At least Fergie didn't number 1 all over the place! (http://www.spinner.com/2009/11/10/fergie-pees-her-pants-on-stage/)

Best halftime show ever was U2.

The more I think about this, the more I can't believe Slash isn't getting more flak for completely embarrassing himself by being a part of that clusterfuck. I've never bought into Slash's guitar playing or GnR music like many others have, but it was still an embarrassment.
