I'm actually not worried going into December.
@Bears
Packers
@Deadskins
Eagles

Not being cocky by any means, but the way Romo has conducted this team this year..I think we go 3-1. Split with the Sheagles.

Shame the Fuck on me for going against Seattle last night. For years theyve been my automatic
Prime Time pick at home, even when they sucked. I figured NO could sneak one. Boy was I retardedly wrong.

Never again. The Hawks are possessed at home. That 12th man is vicious.

I think what you saw there last night was a preview of the NFC Championship game, which will end in the same fashion. I think SEA beats DEN in the Superbowl.

SEA is one fast team man. It's crazy how good they are.

I wish I didn't despise their coach so much. I hate that fucker. I want to shove that gum down into his throat in hopes that he chokes.

Otherwise, I will be rooting for SEA once SF is eliminated.

In my preseason predictions in August I have the Saints and Seahawks in the NFC Title game and the Chiefs at Broncos in the AFC Title game. Both predictions highly likely possible here in Dec.

I have the Saints beating the Broncs in the SB.

Seattle is NOT the Home Of The 12th Man. That's here at Texas A&M. Don't believe me? Go to the Seacocks website, and read the fine print at the bottom of the 12th Man page.

Sorry....that whole thing STILL pisses me off.

The stadium is being remodeled as we speak, but this is the REAL Home Of The 12th Man

Who gives a fuck! The "12th man" thing is fucking DUMB! Nobody talked about the "12th man" when Seattle was losing 12 games a year, for a decade! I'm from an old school sports city where we don't put "sound meters" in our stadiums and then tell our fans when they're supposed to cheer!

ESPN's endless mentioning of the "12th man" was fucking puke-inducing during the broadcast! The thing I've learned in the NFL after three plus decades of following the sport, are that the stadiums that are tough to win in are the ones that have a good team! Everyone talked about how tough Kansas City was to play in and prior to this season, they lost a whole lot more games at home over the past 10 years than they've won! Again, it's the most overrated nonsense that people talk about in football. A good QB and good head coach will win you a lot of games in the NFL. A sound meter won't win you a single game!

Such a wonderous Thursday night matchup. It's sad that the loser of the Thursday night game will have the inside track towards the right to draft Jadaveon Clowney. One team, Houston, was my pick for NFC runner-up, Sigh. :( It's been one of those kinds of years. I've nicknamed this game the Circus Bowl (See the connection? circus? 'clown'ey? No? .)

I've also got the Seahawks beating the Broncos in the SB. At least in a year that I've outright failed miserably at making predictions, at least this potential SB match-up is still looking pretty good.

Solid Super Bowl pick, but it won't happen. Seattle and Denver are the two teams EVERYONE believes are going to The Super Bowl. Look at past years. There are ALWAYS two teams everyone anoints, and inevitably, at least one of those teams will get knocked off...if not both. It ALWAYS happens!

John, John, Johnny, It's ok man, calm the fuck down. I hate that shit also (The shticks they always steal from the great college game). What I DO KNOW is this. When Seattle is Good like they are this year and will be for years to come cause Russell Wilson is great, Seattle is a bitch of a home field advantage. Crowd right on top of you, weather conditions often suck there this time of year with rain, wind, etc., along with a deafening noise. Seattle is without a doubt my NFC Pick. New Orleans is horrible when they have to play outside of a dome and San Fran, well, Seattle is inside their heads and they can't shake them out. The AFC is anyone's game. There isn't a clear cut favorite. Not Denver, Not NE. I think it's going to be a team that starts playing playoff football now. They get on a roll and it snowballs. Speaking of snowballs, John, are the Pats, if they need a FG to win, going to roll out the old snowplow this year?

I agree with your assessment that Seattle is the clear cut favorite (which means absolutely NOTHING, by the way) in the NFC. I also agree that the AFC is wide open. A team that just sneaks into the AFC playoffs could make it to The Super Bowl this season. Denver is probably the best team in the AFC, but I certainly wouldn't bet on Peyton Manning coming up big in a playoff game that needs to be played outside in the elements. I still think that at least one surprise team will land in The Super Bowl, because more often than not, that is what happens. I also suspect that it will come from the NFC, because EVERYONE believes that Seattle is going to The Super Bowl.

I can't agree that Denver is the best team. The two advantages they will have though is Home field, and a bye week. That being said, if was was the coach of the opposing team and wasn't afraid of using my nutsack, I would bust Peyton Manning one good time, hard, and that would rattle the shit out of that fucker. He cannot stand to be touched (much like Bundchen) and he will hear footsteps and wonder all the rest of the game if someone was going to hit him late and make him taste dirt. Hell, take the fine, take the penalty, and win the game.

You mean as opposed to every other NFL QB who really likes being hit? Sorry dude, but it's a dopey argument. I've never seen an NFL QB in my life (including guys who played QB at the weight of a lineman) who likes being hit and who doesn't get rattled with opposing defenders in his face the whole game!

Based on that analogy, I guess Jacksonville is the clear-cut favorite, with, sadly, the AFC's longest current winning streak.

But seriously, I agree in a sense. But it feels like the more parity there is in the AFC, the more likely a Denver/New England AFC title game is likely to occur. But all the contenders have glaring holes. Things change and still stay the same.

I'll never understand why teams do this so late in a season. Finish out the season, fire the coach in the off-season. It's not like the IHC is gonna get them in the playoffs.

No John, there's a difference of being hit and those QB's who feel as if their entitled to NOT having a finger laid upon them. Like Manning, Brady, Brees. And that's the point I'm making.

This has been the most poorly officiated season I can ever remember. There were so many awful calls on both sides of the Browns/Pats game, and one bogus call just cost the Browns the game. Pats just got repaid in kind for the jobbing they suffered during the Panthers game a few weeks ago, although this was probably even more egregious. Browns really blew it playing prevent D on the Pats' first end-of-game drive too.

NFL needs to get a handle on this. Replacements looked good next to what we've seen this year week in and week out.

I hope you're not suggesting the Patriots have been the beneficiary of endless PI calls this season, in their favor. In fact most of them have gone against them this season. For the record, the call against Cleveland was fucking AWFUL! I didn't think that was close to interference when I watched it live and when I watched the replay, it very clearly was NOT even close to PI. Having said that, that play was first down, and the Patriots were driving, so they certainly weren't out of it whether that call was made or not. As Matt said, the officiating across the board in the league this season has been terrible. Hell, there was a call in the Bengals/Colts game that gave Green-Ellis a TD when he was CLEARLY touched and down. I have zero idea how any official went to that replay and didn't see what everyone else saw!

On another note, Gronkowski tore is ACL and is done for the year. This dude simply can't stay on the field. I didn't like this Patriots team in the playoffs without Gronk. Now, I really don't like their chances. I suspect they'll be an underdog against almost any team that they play, which will be an odd change.

Perhaps I worded that wrong, but that was an atrocious call. The Green-Ellis call leaves me baffled as well but at least it was reviewed. You'll get no argument from me on the call. It was an awful call. That said, I've seen worse PI calls (both called and not called) numerous times...just this season. The officiating is fucking AWFUL. Having said that, you're not going to catch me saying that one call decided the game. Again, it wasn't fourth down. It was only first down. There was more than ample time left for Brady to get it into the end zone. There is no question that the call helped the Patriots, considerably. I'm just not going down the road that if that call isn't made that the Browns win the game. Truth be told, the Patriots played about as bad of a game as they have ever played, with Brady at the helm, and Cleveland should have won that game, easily. As soon as the Patriots recovered the onside kick, I knew they were winning the game, even though they didn't deserve to win, based upon how they had played!

It doesn't matter-- they'll win every game, regardless. Brady could be on the field by himself, with a broken leg, and the rest of the team out for the season, and he'd still somehow find a way to win.

I know it's really stupid to hate a team for being too good, but it just makes the sport boring after a while. Every year, it's a given that the Pats will win the division. And with the Giants being completely inept this year and not there to beat them this time, the Pats will win the Superbowl... again. (what will that be? Their 30th Superbowl win? Okay, I'm exaggerating, but that's what it feels like.) Of course, I realize I SHOULD be more annoyed at my two New York teams this season for being complete buffoons, rather than being annoyed at the Pats for being too good.

Come to think of it, I should like the Patriots, actually. I like New England as a place, and I like the people there. But can't they just be a LITTLE less good? :D Oh well, at least the Jets did beat the Pats once this season... I'll have to cling to that as the one bright spot of an otherwise dismal season for New York (even if that win did come down to an odd penalty.)

Finally. Niners beat a team with a winning record. Sweet. Good victory today. Having Crabtree back really helps, though he does need to file assault charges for the way the Seahawks defended him (and every team). Ridiculous.

I would be STUNNED if this Patriots team even went to The Super Bowl...let alone win it. They're simply missing too many parts to play any defense, at all. I think Gronk going down for the season is one too many injuries for this team to absorb. I'm starting to think Peyton is going to win his final Super Bowl this season, if he can find a way not to puke on his cleats again in a big game!
