Prime Time pick at home, even when they sucked. I figured NO could sneak one. Boy was I retardedly wrong.
Never again. The Hawks are possessed at home. That 12th man is vicious.

I think what you saw there last night was a preview of the NFC Championship game, which will end in the same fashion. I think SEA beats DEN in the Superbowl.

I've also got the Seahawks beating the Broncos in the SB. At least in a year that I've outright failed miserably at making predictions, at least this potential SB match-up is still looking pretty good.

I'm from an old school sports city where we don't put "sound meters" in our stadiums and then tell our fans when they're supposed to cheer!
ESPN's endless mentioning of the "12th man" was fucking puke-inducing during the broadcast! The thing I've learned in the NFL after three plus decades of following the sport, are that the stadiums that are tough to win in are the ones that have a good team! Everyone talked about how tough Kansas City was to play in and prior to this season, they lost a whole lot more games at home over the past 10 years than they've won! Again, it's the most overrated nonsense that people talk about in football. A good QB and good head coach will win you a lot of games in the NFL. A sound meter won't win you a single game!

When Seattle is Good like they are this year and will be for years to come cause Russell Wilson is great, Seattle is a bitch of a home field advantage. Crowd right on top of you, weather conditions often suck there this time of year with rain, wind, etc., along with a deafening noise. Seattle is without a doubt my NFC Pick. New Orleans is horrible when they have to play outside of a dome and San Fran, well, Seattle is inside their heads and they can't shake them out. The AFC is anyone's game. There isn't a clear cut favorite. Not Denver, Not NE. I think it's going to be a team that starts playing playoff football now. They get on a roll and it snowballs. Speaking of snowballs, John, are the Pats, if they need a FG to win, going to roll out the old snowplow this year?

You mean as opposed to every other NFL QB who really likes being hit? Sorry dude, but it's a dopey argument. I've never seen an NFL QB in my life (including guys who played QB at the weight of a lineman) who likes being hit and who doesn't get rattled with opposing defenders in his face the whole game!

man that game was just plain FUN to watch...

Perhaps I worded that wrong, but that was an atrocious call. The Green-Ellis call leaves me baffled as well but at least it was reviewed. I had to see that PI call on the post game with Boomer and Marino and Cowher and they were all dumbfounded by it, you just hate to see a call like that decide a game.

DavidWT wrote:It doesn't matter-- they'll win every game, regardless. Brady could be on the field by himself, with a broken leg, and the rest of the team out for the season, and he'd still somehow find a way to win.
I know it's really stupid to hate a team for being too good, but it just makes the sport boring after a while. Every year, it's a given that the Pats will win the division. And with the Giants being completely inept this year and not there to beat them this time, the Pats will win the Superbowl... again. (what will that be? Their 30th Superbowl win? Okay, I'm exaggerating, but that's what it feels like.) Of course, I realize I SHOULD be more annoyed at my two New York teams this season for being complete buffoons, rather than being annoyed at the Pats for being too good.![]()
Come to think of it, I should like the Patriots, actually. I like New England as a place, and I like the people there. But can't they just be a LITTLE less good?Oh well, at least the Jets did beat the Pats once this season... I'll have to cling to that as the one bright spot of an otherwise dismal season for New York (even if that win did come down to an odd penalty.)
