No typo, however, Rita has weakened to 125 MPH winds now. She's still headed right for me though.

Take care overthere

I hear that Texas plains flood real easily, at least that's what my older bro told me when he was at Texas Tech getting a Master's. Well, good luck TxStorm.

...

So I come home and I'm in a panic mode right now. I've lost 3 of my cds during the moving process! A friend wanted me to burn some music for him, so I unburied my collection to find those titles. However, three titles are missing.

I drooled a bit this morning when I spotted an Ensoniq KS-32 sitting in my bro's living room. However, it's supposedly a repair job for a customer. He says the customer won't part with it...but I'm in line to 'test' it once repairs are complete. :D :D :D

That's it from here. Take care guys.

I love those piney woods! Hope they don't get damaged by this storm!

Here in Dallas we'll be lucky to get some decent rain out of the whole thing. Too hot, too dry. Global warming? Maybe. :?

Thanks guys for your good wishes. 8)

The rain here has just begun, and we have been having wind gusts like i've never seen here before. Rita made landfall at 2:30 am CDT. Now Rita is continuing to head north, still in my direction. They are saying that we could in my town get as much as 20 inches of rain between now and Monday morning. Anybody got a boat i can barrow??? lol

For anyone interested, here is a pretty impressive view of Rita slamming into my corner of the world:

Yup, too bad indeed.
I'm still proud of what the Eagles achieved this year though, and at least a fuckin' Victorian side didn't win it!!

Can't help you out with the boat, but I've got a surfboard... :?

20 inches is a whole lot of rain in such a short time... We get that in half a year, and it rains here very often. Hope you keep it dry.

It ended up not being near as bad as the weather guys were predicting. Only got about 3 inches of rain here, and wind gusts were only as high as 50 MPH here, and I still have electricity! 8) I'm in the clear now!!

I didn't get what this was about. I still didn't get it after TX's answer, but there was something disturbing about his answer. So I looked it up...

Normally I immediately go to urbandictionary.com but I wasn't sure whether I was looking for slang or a movie or book quote this time. It is an 'interesting' website, yes!
I guess I'm gonna need to make use of it more often!

Already tired today. I started removing the old wall paneling from my bedroom, but quit after a few pieces were pulled out. My knee friggin' hurts. It comes from too many hours standing on cement floors at work. I never had a knee problem until I got a job. So now I'm patiently waiting for my folks to return, so that they can assist me with a few stubborn panels and ceiling tiles that won't dislodge, no matter how much force I use to pull them down.

I don't wanna use power on these old walls...the house would probably collapse on me. :?

Same here... It's still 21C inside, but my hands feel so cold!!!

We're again (lol) going to try to go to the bar tonight. Doesn't get any easier now that it is getting colder outside, and that I've just bought a new bottle of whisky won't help either!
