Book of Shadows - Zakk Wylde

Good revisionism there Kenny **you've got to sleep on your toes, when you're on the street, got to be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed...then moving in silently down wind and out of sight, you've got to strike when the moment is right without thinking** Nice lyric :D

I have given it some thought whether I should make the Masterplan EP my AOTW, but decided not to. It's only four different songs and no matter how excellent it had to compete this week with Cornerstone - Arrival.

Hadn't heard that album in a while and was surprised why I always pick Human Stain to play instead of this one. Arrival is a bit more mellow and subdued but that's actually the strong point of this album.

Scary as though it may seem, Tali is correct. You would have to check out their obscure album "Power Metal." I don't own it, but a friend told me that Alselmo could've been another Geoff Tate if he wanted to. Another song to check out is "Cemetary Gates" from the "Cowboys From Hell" album. It was even difficult for me to believe that this was the same band.

Oh I have no doubt he is correct, and I know Pantera were initially an entirely different band than what they became......I just find the whole 'he could sing but chose not to" thing completely idiotic.

Album of the week for me is Cage - Darker Than Black. I don't think it'll be a favorite, but it's not bad. It's one of the 3 I won a month or so ago. I've just won another couple as well, so I'm pretty pleased about that too. Queensryche and Dream Theatre :D

Its pretty Judas Priest Painkillerish. The one thing that shits me about this band is the singer...in all the interviews i've read with him he comes across as a real tool....to the extent that it puts me off the music. This doesn't happen with someone like Yngwie...and we all know what a flogbag that guy is. :D

I haven't heard Everblack Tali. Is it as melodic as 11 Dreams? Does it have clean and death vocals or is it all Deathy?

Just got back from work, and my AOTW goes to Dreamtale "Beyond Reality." I am originally disappointed with any record label who has to send me my alternate cd picks, but after listening to it, maybe it wasn't that bad of a switch. Power Metal as expected from the better Finnish bands, and the ballad "Silent Path" completely blows me away.

AOTW goes to Steelhouse Lane "Slaves of the New World." Just an incredible hard rock album.

Good choice, SnakeLady!

My AOTW is Silent Force - Empire Of The Future. Dug that one up last week, and now it's back in my pile next to the CD player... :)

You have good import channels, or has the album received an Australian release as well?

My AOTW is Threshold - Critical Energy. Great live album, stunning sound, which makes me suspect the live recording has been "enhanced" in the studio. Nevertheless, bootleg quality may be more honest, studio quality is better to listen to over and over again. :D

AOTW? Not sure because I haven't listened to anything this week...

So I immediately default to Within Temptation "The Silent Force." It's gonna be a long time comin' before I ever get sick of this album.

Have to have good import channels here S-dip-Most of the music I like doesn't get released here. Some I can order through cd stores, but most of what I want to buy I order online.

I doubt that Within Temptation will be released here.

"The Sombre Light of Isolation" by The Eternal is ATOW for me.
Thay are local Melbourne band who are sign to a Finnish record label.
They are gothic atmospheric sounding band.
