Dude...Trent Dilfer didn't win anything. He was along for the ride! As I've already said in this thread, that Ravens defense was as dominant as the 1985 Bears. Not one of the Patriots championship teams were even a quarter as good as that VERY dominant Ravens team. The receivers (and every other offensive player on that team) were beyond irrelevant. Giving Dilfer credit for that Super Bowl win is like giving Ross Valory credit for the success of Journey!

A team that had Ben Coates, and Priest Holmes on it, if I remember.....and Collins had 4 INTs, NY also fumbled 2 times - for SIX turnovers. I don't care who you are, you ain't winning a game like that. And Starks & Lewis both had returns for TDs( INT and Kickoff respectively). Yeah. You could say that B-more dominated.

But neither were QUITE as dominant as the '91 Eagles, as far as I know the only team to finish #1 across the board, run/pass/overall.

Greatest Defense of the Super Bowl Era was the 1977 Falcons.

14 games, 129 points allowed. 9.21 points per game. and get this: Their record was 7-7, and they missed the playoffs. I think a Dilfer was their QB.

The Steelers 2008 defense last season were INCHES close to finishing the same fate as that '91 defense. The Steelers lost the run defensive battle to Minnesota last season, and finishing #1 across all other categories. The Steelers probably would of edged the Vikes out, but Tomlin opted to rest his defensive players against Cleveland at the last game of the season, giving Minn the final edge.

I was at that game. My dad was late getting off work, so we missed the whole damn first quarter while we sat our ass in traffic for an hour. I think the score was like, 4,000- 0. Gradkowski's numbers on that beautiful, sunny, cold, WINDY day was 5-16, for 18 yards and 2 interceptions!

To sum up Cleveland's team that year (or any year for that matter) was when they let big, fat, two left foot, club footed, who's slower than a turtle, Byron Leftwhich run 8, long yards up the middle of their defense for a touchdown.

Ewhmatt- you forgot to say that the" ATTEMPTED BRIBE" was a $ 1 dollar bill. His narcissist personality gets old, but what a receiver ! The NFL worried about their credibility with the fine. HA !HA! Goddell should worry more about how the refs make so many errors, & TV replay shadows their credibility every week. 5 refs meet on the field trying to figure out a call how many times a game. Oh ,and there is that whistle that is inadvertant or the one that never came in 2005 that got Carson's leg damaged by Kemo . Sorry about those pesky Ravens ! Maybe Marvin could send Cleveland instructions. He evidently has their game plan down pat to this day.

You're seriously saying "what a receiver" about Chad Johnson or whatever the fuck the tard calls himself this week? The guy sucks! He hasn't even been the best receiver on his own team the past three seasons. It took TJ signing with Seattle for Palmer to even consider throwing the guy the ball again. Below average NFL receiver who never knows when to shut his fucking piehole and simply play football. Dude has the IQ of a fucking amoeba and somehow manages to piss off every guy who has ever played NFL football with his moronic actions!

Any player like 85, Terrell Owens, or the likes of Prime Time, get no credence with me. I don't give a shit what their numbers are. They disgust me, because they're not sportsmen.

Week 10

New Orleans at St. Louis - I don't see this one being a close game. If the Saints don't win by three touchdowns, they should consider it a disappointment!

Tampa Bay at Miami - In spite of Tampa slapping the shit out of Green Bay last week, I think they come back to earth this week. Miami is a really scrappy team who can gimmick themselves to a 10 point win in this game.

Detroit at Minnesota - Logic says the Vikings win this one by 4 TD's. I say that's a bit too ambitious and that Detroit manages to keep it "close" (by Detroit standards). Minnesota by two touchdowns.

Jacksonville at NY Jets - This should be a close game between two average teams. Take the Jets and 3 points with the home field advantage.

Buffalo at Tennessee - Have to change this one before kickoff. I've decided that Chris Johnson is good enough by himself to beat Buffalo by a touchdown!

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh - There is simply ZERO chance Shitsburgh is losing to the Bengals twice in one season. WILL NOT HAPPEN! I suspect this will be another hard fought game and that the Steelers pull it out by a touchdown. I see this one being lower scoring. (20-13 in favor of Steelers).

Denver at Washington - When a team is floundering like Denver is, Washington on the schedule fixes everything! Denver by two touchdowns.

Atlanta at Carolina - Carolina has showed some signs of life but I'm not buying it. If DeAngelo Williams doesn't play (gametime decision), they might as well not even show up. In either case, I like Atlanta by 14.

Kansas City at Oakland - God help any tortured fan who is subjected to these two shit teams. Raiders pull it out 3-2

Seattle at Arizona - Cardinals by 17.

Dallas at Green Bay - I LOVE Green Bay in this game, in spite of their embarrassing showing last week. Packers by a touchdown.

Philadelphia at San Diego - This is the toughest game of the weekend for me to pick. San Diego seems to only show up to play in the second half of the season after taking every first half of the season off. I like the Chargers by a touchdown, even though the Eagles are the better team.

New England at Indianapolis - Two equally matched teams. In this decade, New England and Indy are tied for the most wins in the entire NFL. Two evenly matched QB's. I think this game comes down to the Patriots ability to cover Dallas Clark over the middle (which most teams can't) and rookie lineman Sebastian Vollmer using that 6'8" frame to keep Freeney out of the backfield. Neither team winning this game would surprise me one bit. Most are calling for a shootout, but I think it ends up being quite a bit lower scoring than most think. New England pulls it out 24-17.

Baltimore at Cleveland - Ravens win by 20!

While we don't disagree on clowns like the guys you mention, the huge difference is that Johnson doesn't even have the numbers to back up his big mouth. The guy didn't finish in the top FIFTY receivers in the league last season (which is totally fucking amazing for a guy who runs his mouth the way this moron does). He has finished in the top ten in receiving only twice in his career and that's simply not good enough for a guy who seems to think he's Jerry Rice!

John- You haven't watched Chad every week for all his career here. How many times have you seen a Bengals game? He is so covered and still breaks out. Check out the YouTube video Can't be touched-Chad Johnson & see the crazy catches. Tomorrow Cincy/ Pitts in a mud bowl and then later I will watch Indy/New England. Good luck ! I hope it is a good hard played game.

Sorry dude...you have ZERO idea what you're talking about. Aren't you the same dope who keeps calling Kurt Warner "Werner"? If that's not you, then I apologize. While it's certainly true that I don't watch every Bengals game (not sure why anyone outside the Cincinnatti city limits would), I don't need to watch every game to know that Johnson is a fucking windbag, whose talent isn't half as big as his mouth! I've seen Johnson play a ton of games over the course of his NFL career and have never been remotely impressed with the guy. Like I said, he hasn't even been the best receiver on his own fucking team the past three seasons, and that's a fact! I watch a fuckload of NFL football and know who the good players are and who the frauds are, whether they play for the Patriots or not! Johnson has NEVER been an elite NFL receiver and never will be. I personally find the guy's on the field antics to be a complete fucking embarrassment to the Bengals organization and the NFL. He's cut from the same cloth as Terrell Owens with about a quarter of the talent, and that's not a compliment!

John its grandma dude. I am not that guy that aggreviates you. Please Watch the You Tube video and get back to me after seeing those catches. Part of football is to free up other receivers bacause you draw the focus and Carson loves to spread the ball around to at least 5 guys , so I would say receiving is is a team statistic. Anyway ,thanks for your replies.

Some "highlight reel" video that some jamoke puts together on youtube means absolutely NOTHING to me. I've seen Johnson's career and the guy simply isn't that good! Even this season, he hasn't been good enough to be a top 5 receiver and this is the first season of the last three that he's been close to a factor since about 4 seasons ago.

squirt1 wrote: Part of football is to free up other receivers bacause you draw the focus

Thanks for the education, granny. I never knew that football quite worked that way  I have a newflash for you...Check out the top 5 NFL receivers each season and I promise you that EVERY single one of those guys is being double and triple teamed almost every play. The great ones still find a way to get the job done, and Johnson isn't close to ever being great!

squirt1 wrote: I would say receiving is is a team statistic.

This is a moronic statement and you have a whole lot to learn about football. Tell you what grandma...I won't debate you on knitting if you stop debating me on football

Week 10

New Orleans at St. Louis - New Orleans continues their march towards an undefeated season. NO by 28.

Tampa Bay at Miami - Miami is a team that has a Wild Card type caliber team and Tampa Bay is riding high off their rookie QB's first win. Miami puts them in their place. Miami by 13.

Detroit at Minnesota - Vikes come back strong and Peterson runs wild on a Lions team that's hurting from top to bottom, side to side, left to right. Minn dominates in the dome. Minny by 20.

Jacksonville at NY Jets - Ryan is gearing up for a run at the division and if they want to do that, they beat Jax. Jets by 10.

Buffalo at Tennessee - Tennessee has found a slight niche with Young. His legs are just enough of a threat to be accounted for and this opens up Johnson all day long. Tenn by 8.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh - A lot is at stake. Polamalu and Mendenhall are in the lineup this week, not like week 3. The Steelers dominated week 3 but the Bengals edged it out. The Steelers aren't the same team they were early season. The Steelers will lose in the division this year. But that will be in Baltimore. The only 4 wins Palmer has against the Steelers, 2 came in Heinz Field. Steelers are 18-5 at home since 2007 and have won 8 straight. No way they lose this one. Steelers by 12.

Denver at Washington - Broncs bounce back. Washington lost Portis to a concussion and they have no leadership or direction from anybody. Denver by 13.

Atlanta at Carolina - I'm taking Carolina in the upset this week. I like their running game and the re-emergence of Williams. Carolina by 7.

Kansas City at Oakland - I'm going out on a limb and say that Oakland wins this one in the "Black Anus"

Seattle at Arizona - Arizona needs to win a big division game, esp at home. Cards by 20.

Dallas at Green Bay - Dallas chomps on a team that can't protect their QB for the life of them. Dallas by 17.

Philadelphia at San Diego - I like San Diego in this. They are catching their usual mid season stride and they should carry that momentum from last week's win in their building. Charge by 6.

New England at Indianapolis - Bellicheat should have it easy this week going up against a banged up D. Brady is going to exploit a hurting Colts defense and this is the Colts first test all season. N.E just knows how to romp on Indy when the stakes are this high in front of a national audience. The race for home field is on between Indy, N.E, and Pitt. N.E by 14.

Baltimore at Cleveland - Baltimore needs a Cleveland week. Brady Quinn shows why he will make a career out of holding a clip board. Baltimore by 21.

T-minus 50 minutes to kickoff - I'm more excited for this week than the past few weeks.

I hope the Pit-Cin, Phi-SD, Dal-GB, and NE-Indy games turn out to be the classics they have the potential to be
