Thankfully we have a big snowblower, but I didn't think about my tires. I have all seasons which work well here - we complain about the snow removal, but it's actually very good compared to most. They let 3 feet of snow pile up on the roads?! Uh-oh. I didn't consider that I would need winter tires, but the hills there are wicked and icy! No more blue skies and sunshine here either - we've been getting snow all day and it's going to continue tomorrow. I knew it couldn't last. People still talk about the winter around 8 years ago when we had no snow on the ground until December 24th!

Well no, they clear the roads pretty well, but when the snowplows come down our street they leave 3 feet of the cleared stuff piled up in front of our driveway - usually about 5 minutes after we've shovelled in the morning - then we have to start all over again so I can back my little car out! I think it was 7 years ago you're talking about - we moved here that December, thought we'd died and gone to heaven (grass was still green early December, no snow). I'd like winters like that all the time!

We gave in this year and my husband put a plow on his truck......the last storm was so much more pleasant at this house...he was not out in the driveway swearing at the snow blower....he plowed me in about 15 minutes and was one happy guy!

   Portland, Too much information.

sorry. I couldn't resist.
