I sat between 2 women in the movie the Lake House. One who loved it and balled her eyes out, and one who hated it and complained about how dumb it was the whole movie. I was too distracted to know if I liked it

You? Distracted? NO!

First, if I didn't know any better I'd think a Muslim arranged marriage was goin down in here

Second thing, those bus lanes are the most retarded fucking idea ever. They were astronomically expensive and people who have been driving in the city all their lives still don't get what the fuck they are. They piss me the fuck off.

Third thing, seeing Clint die at the end of Gran Torino isn't just seeing his character, Walt Kowalski, die. It's not even seeing or realizing the notion that Clint could die soon. For me, seeing Clint die in his supposed last screen role ever meant seeing part of America die, too. Like him or not, the guy is a cultural icon and representative of America for longer than even many of the oldest posters on here have been alive. And his reach extends farther back than even when he first started starring in movies because of the setting of many of his Westerns and other films that take place in the America of yesteryear. The guy is one of the few legends truly deserving of his pedigree: Not only is he great, but he has been great for so long and didn't kill himself with booze and drugs like many of the stars of each of the many generations he's been a part of.

Fourth thing, is this Frontiers in Cleveland shit really happening? I'm rounding up quite a local group too and I know Dan and Travis (B too?) are already in. Who else is really coming? This might merit a thread. This could be epic.

I said I was in as soon as I heard the date announced. I'll just be getting back from LA then and what better way to punish myself than with some February Ohio weather?
