Just watched it and I thought he had a really nice game for a rookie. Made a few nice passes, missed a few he probably should have completed, but he an all-around nice game.

I'm definitely no football expert, but honestly it looked that way to me, too.

He was pretty much playing pitch and catch against a sub-par bench defense who was running around there not knowing what their doing like chicken with their heads cut off while defending a lead in the 4th qrt which allowed Daniels to use Tebow within his comfort level of putting him in the shotgun and using short yardage plays/screens to get him comfortable.

He made a couple nice improvision plays that looked pretty good and pushed the ball downfield to open receivers and looked accurate on those few throws so that's a plus, but when Cincy actually brought something for him to read, like bringing an overload blitz to his blindside, he completley brushed it off and didn't even bother to read it. That'll come with time & experience but the defense that was being run at that point let him play pitch and catch. One read offense but he looked good in his debut which lead to him snapping a couple ribs. :?

His ribs will be fine. I once had my abdomen slashed open, my bottom two ribs broken and a kidney removed from my body-less than two weeks later I did a triathlon. If I can do it, Tebow can do it!!!!!!!

Leadership isn't always about running around like you're on meth pumping everyone up. Sometimes it's about being a calm, relaxing force and letting your play speak for itself. Respect in the NFL is earned slowly, and being irresponsible and acting like a lobotomized wrestler probably only got him laughed at and earned him less trust. But, I suspect he's smart enough to figure this out on his own, eventually.

Absolutely. The only problem I had is that he certainly had his own personal agenda always pumpin his own ego with all of his smiles and getting praised by every media circuit for juicing his leadership by hulking out after every first down and and always being refereed to by literally being a football Saint and being as soft hearted as the Pillsbury Dough Boy by always smiling and singing the Gator Anthem that melted hearts and curing world hunger after a VICTORY.

But as SOON as he walked off the field, crying and not being apart of congratulating 'Bama after the Gators experienced a beatdown loss showed the dude's true colors by not holding up to his reputation by showing the respect of the team opposite side of you. Tebow showed he's no different than anyone else and manipulates the media like a two-way mirror using his own legend to beef up his own image. Getting the attention for being the greatest human being to walk the Universe next to Jesus is going to open himself up to the over exposure of skeptic fans like myself while evaluating his QB play on field, which isn't impressive.

I'll give him a shot though. Put his money where his mouth is and if he finds a place for himself in the NFL, I will be the first to eat my words and feel nothing but respect for the dude and that someone can admire. It's all about showing it in the NFL. He's got to prove himself no matter what he did at Florida.

People like this are pretty easy to figure out. Bill Clinton was the same way -- he was an attention Salt Vampire who needed the constant admiration and adoration of the public just to keep going. Take T-Bowl out of the spotlight and sports pages long enough, and you'll find where his natural high and smiles were really coming from. Those types often crash pretty hard when they're not winning or commanding center stage anymore, but they often find a way to drag themselves out of the darkness and milk a new round of media attention for redeeming themselves. Seen the story 1,000 times, and if it happens to him they'll undoubtedly compare it to the resurrection. It's a play straight out of the media manipulation handbook.

Nice, Angel.

As for Tebow's case, football isn't a contact sport. It's a collision sport. He consistently has to avoid being harassed and abused by 250 pound tanks who hit like fright trains and are trained to go after the QB at EVERY SNAP. If he isn't careful and let those ribs heal, he's only putting himself in even more danger, esp of his style. Knowing Tebow, he will probably run and lower his shoulders right off the bat and go in the teeth of the defense to prove he can do it, which won't be smart if he does.

Everything I've read says he's big into proving people wrong. That's nothing but out of control ego, and not a very bright way to proceed. Maybe he'll learn and grow out of it, but I guess time will tell.
