Doesn't surprise me, a friend who goes to tons of shows told me the classic rock acts don't usually sell out until closer to. And considering it hasn't even really been announced yet, heck EM just recently put it on his website. There new album hasn't even dropped yet, so I'm still saying they'll sell out or close to by show time. :D Personally, I don't care if they do or not, less people to fight for front row. :P

Their, not there.

I wouldn't be too concerned about fighting for the front row Deb.....shouldn't be too much trouble. The place only holds 600, maybe.

 Almost looks like the one US date so far is like a warm up for the big ones in Japan, etc. From EM's site.......

New tour dates just announced and more on the way any day now:

April 2nd House of Blues, Sunset Strip - Hollywood, CA.
April 7th Osaka Castle Hall
April 9th Kanazawa Kagekiza
April 11th Fukuoka Shimin Kaikan
April 12th Hiroshima ALSOK Hall
April 14th Nagoya Aichi Ken Geijutsu Gekijo
April 15th Iwate Kenmin Kaikan
April 17th Sapporo Koseinenkin Kaikan
April 19th Akita Kenmin Kaikan
April 20th ZEPP Sendai
April 22nd Kanagawa Kenmin Kaikan
April 25th Budokan
Is that still the only US date?!?! Please tell me they're coming
to the right side!! :?

Here's an educated guess. I am thinking the band lives in the Southern California area, and is going to play a one off there, and then fly to Asia and do a month there, getting sharper and tighter with the new material, then come back to North America and do a real full leg tour. Am I right Andrew?

Fuck, they do have a new album to support. If they want to play to bigger crowds they should try and open for Journey in the U.S.

The similar paths, past and present, is pretty amazing. They both had Herbie as a manager and they both had Shirley produce their latest efforts. Tour together and I'm sure Herbie would catch a show or two when they're in California. Shirley, too.

Hey, I'd get to see the current Journey that way. I could rock my socks off during the kickass first half then sit back with a coffee and relax for the second half. The boys are back, re-united, refreshed and kickin' ass, the more I hear this song the more I love it. LOL, yep caught in the Undertow :P ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u93cip0UmxA

Deb, you know what's going to happen, right? You are going to spend $385C on a round trip Air Canada flight from CGY to LAX and another 190 bucks on hotel....add to that grub and stuff, and we're talking what. 700 bucks? As soon as you get back to Cow Town, they will announce a date in Calgary or Banff....you just know it's going to happen like that. :)

LOL, shit happens. Guess I would be seeing them twice then.  I am NOT missing out on seeing them LIVE this time around, cuz like Journey, I have no idea how long they are back together for. And who said I'm staying in a hotel? :P Besides, going to be great seeing some of my Cali friends again! :D

Oh and btw, NOBODY plays Banff.

From 20-25 seconds, probably the song's most important vocal moment, he's barely audible. Regardless, this song is really growing on me. Top notch shit going on behind the singer.

I agree, if I was being picky I would say the vocals need to be turned up in the mix on that one, the guitar is definitely forefront. He's got a helluva lot more powerful pipes than that shows for sure. Turn up that mic.

 Can't friggin wait to finally see those 4 throw down a whole set LIVE next year! LOL, I don't even care what's on the setlist, I like so many of their songs.

+1.

This band is top notch musically. I'd give Billy 10.0 , Paul 10.0 , melody & music 10.0 , songwritting & lyrics 8.0 , drums 8.0 and vocals 6.0.
Martin is MUCH MUCH better singing acoustic stuff. Like Dan said before , this music with Soto's vocals would've been the perfect combination !

It's not the mix Deb. It's the lack of depth & power in his voice. If there's no depth , it only ruins the song more if you turn it up. I could totally see Jeff give this song a totally different dimension without turning up the vocals.

I'll be the first to admit, heavy metal is not my favorite vehicle for his vocals. I like his crooning more than his rock wailing. I'm happy as hell they are back together cuz I really like their music, but I was concerned that they were going to go that real heavy route as in the beginning with EM trying to sing over the powerhouse guitar and bass. Probably why I like their 1996 Hey Man album the best. This is just one song from the album (and I love it, yes the vocals too) so I'll wait to hear the rest of it. He's got plenty of depth and power, but where he shines IMO is on more soulful/R&B stuff.....like some of Mr Big's more bluesy R&B based songs. Just like with Perry, I prefer his soulful/R&B side. You just don't quite get that delivery on the real heavy stuff. But saying that, I want more Mr Big too. Guess I'm just greedy.

I've seen him live enough times lately to know he's still got tons of vocal power and depth, this one IMO is a better mix of vocals to music, and he's still easily got these pipes......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIuicNwYBgA Mind you these might not be completely raw like this new album is. Gawwwd I can't wait to hear this one LIVE! :D 8)

When you posted what Phyl said that I am my "usual ignorant self", Liam said something like he agrees that Lynn is a moron most of the time...but I can't remember his exact wording. He deleted it too quickly  I would guess he's serious, since I posted in defense of Yulog? And Liam and I havent had a conversation in 3 years? You know how that goes  If I am a moron, then I'd say morons are a lot higher on the intelligence scale than once believed! Maybe Parfait can find us a "factual" study on that

LMAO I'm getting it for Christmas, I'm getting the Japan release, hell I can't wait for the cd/dvd until February. Besides I gotta be able to sing along to the new stuff by next year. :P
