 Very sad news indeed. We didn't always see eye to eye but I had the pleasure of meeting Dean some years ago in California. Underneath all the rants and raves was a really sensitive and sweet guy. I hope he has finally found peace. Praying for Lula, Wyatt and the rest of Dean's family.

I can barely stop sobbing long enough to type but this is in honor of my dear friend Dean...

When I heard the news this morning I thought it was some cruel joke. I was sure when I sent the text asking if he was ok like I did so many times before, that he would certainly text back saying that he was fine and it was just a mistake. Dean never texted back this morning and now he never will again. I treasure the three years that I have known Dean. He brought so much to my life and after getting to know the real Dean - the man who loved his family and friends, got joy & solace from music and train rides, made people laugh, the sensitive, caring side, the list can go on and on -my life will never be the same without Dean. I am still in shock and disbelief. I hope he can read this board from up above. I only wish he could post a response back.

Thank you Dean for being my friend. My memories of the moments I spent with you will live with me forever. I love you and miss u beyond words.

This is so sad. I'm stunned. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lula and Wyatt and his family. Lula and Deano were the first people I ever talked to on here during election year when not so many of us were Democrats on that thread. I bonded with them over our love for Hillary Clinton. He was truly a one of a kind.

Wow. :( I'm absolutley crushed. Sympathies go out to Lula, Wyatt and Dean's family. I literally don't want to believe this. Shocked. I'll never forget meeting him in Vegas and right away he said "YJ looks like that bowler!" Can't remember who he said though, lmao. Dude was full of life and flat out crazy and knew how to make a person go "huh?" followed by laughter. He was also a very, very wise man and very smart. He'll be missed around here.

RIP Big Man.

I have a bare assed pic of Dean with FTJF (F the Journey Forums) scribbled on his ass because he was pissed about something on your old site.

I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I had my go rounds with Deano. I knew he was a good guy no matter what his MR persona was. Lula, I am so, so sorry for you and Wyatt. I am stunned and unsettled by this very sad news.

This is terrible news.
My condolences to his family. I didn't agree with him on a lot of things but he was arguably the most entertaining poster in MR history and for that alone, I'll genuinely miss him.

RIP Deano.

This such sad news...
Being in the Air Show community, I have lost so many friends
in the past 12 months. This is just another blow...

Glad I had a chance to meet Dean, talk on the phone a few times,
and actually get to KNOW the man behind the legendary persona...

Prayers going out to Lula and the family...

The seventh track from Bruce Springsteen’s upcoming album is now being streamed, and it’s the title track, ‘Wrecking Ball.’ The stream will be available for today (Feb. 27) only..

I am so freaking heartbroken for Lula and the children; Lula has had to bear so much grief seems so unfair. I will never forget you Dean. God bless you and those loved ones you left behind. Too sad; time for tears..

That was at lunch with Angela and me at the Red Lobster near Disney I believe, when Journey did their Florida thing. I remember that pic! I'm sure Angela would agree it was a nice lunch. Definitely shows the entertaining guy he was!

I haven't been on here in ages, but I saw JSS's post on Facebook about Deano. I think it says something about Deano's legacy that someone like me who hasnt posted in forever, remembers argument's and discussions with Deano so much well that I felt compelled to come here and give my condolences. He was an unforgettable part of this Forum.

Prayers to his family..

I really didn't know Deano, prolly because I mostly lurk here and occasionally post. The few times Deano paid any attention to me was to pick on me about something I posted (good-naturedly, of course). My sincerest condolences to his family and to his wife and son :(
